Kinda a random post but I remember on old forums there was kinda an option to see the name of your current main and server. Why’d they change it? I thought it was rather handy and cute.

    Some people used that feature to harass others, or to generalize an entire group of people based on their server. Reason why it got removed with the new forums.

    1 reason may be that we had the fame /defame forum system and some people were targeted by posting their main char's name and server

    yes but in the old forum it was only a option no a obligation, we could show or no our server and the name of our character, by default the old forum didnt show our name and our server, so we had to manually activate this option if we wanted to show our name and server

    it didnt hurt people for that and it is not like with current forum we cant troll each other, so the name and server was good thing i wish we keep for the current forum

    tbh , idk if it was a good thing or even if there was a need/use of it
    but if one really wanted to be a troll they could still find the info as such on this current forum fairly easily
    I wonder what part of this forum could contain a large number of character names and their servers linked to the posters name !
