You can even fail at 100%, cause there is no 100% in this world.

You are factually incorrect. But are you making a specific reference to a game related problem? Or just getting philosophical?

Unlucky, I just do my stormcry +7 within 3 attempts without full item exp :) was like 18%
  • RNG is RNG. There is really not much to it. My experience this patch has been better than pre-patch when i was trying to get +15.
My SC weapon enchanted to +1, +2, +3, +6, and +7 all in one try but my brooch took 4 tries (250k) and my FM gear kept failing 3-4 times to enchant to +3 and +4 at full iexp.
  • Something I do not see mentioned here, although I have seen it elsewhere. Such a large disparagy in enchanting kills teams and makes people leave the game. I am on attempt #6 for Stormcry +2 while my guildies I run with are both trying +4 with the same mats and time invested. Enchanting needs to increase 20% on a fail, not 3%. Enchanting is why my son left the game and TERA fixing it is why I came back. but it feels exactly the same, weeks of farming and some progress, other do not. The ones that do not go to other games.

You can fail at 100.00%, because the game rounds up to decimal places. That is, anything higher than 99.995% is rounded to 100.00%.

Can you show me proof where a few people have stated that they failed at "100%"? Because as others have said it, you guys are not confusing the Exp for the actual rate, right?

At other thread people have mentioned that some times the UI don't update the info of the enchanting window, making you see the 100% from the previous attemp you may have succeded and then fail in the next attemp wich real value was lower.

This was the most logical conclusion that I have seen about the people complaining about failing at 100%.

I have experienced this before and I stand corrected by forum users that showed me the real % that my gear should have had when trying to enchant but my enchanting window showed me a 100% that shouldn't be there.

That screenshot, assuming it's real, would support some sort of actual bug on the server-side. Going from +2 to +3 on that first-tier avatar weapon should be 100% chance no matter what.

(It's different than ElinUsagi's case from before where it must have been a UI glitch, since in that case we could prove the actual chance would have been less.)

Assuming there really is a bug with this, the problem is that it's going to be near impossible to reproduce. The only thing I can think of is that the actual calculation is done using a float and not an int, so it's never actually precisely 100, but event then your odds are probably exceedingly low. Or, perhaps there's a bug in the server-side rates for certain specific items at certain tiers, but the UI is showing what it's supposed to be instead.

Should encourage that guy to send in a ticket with the exact date/time and character name so EME can look it up (though by now it may be too late).
