Do you need more hints about what race makes Tera to keep running?

It shouldn't come as a surprise. There is a picture preview on the gifts page with one dyed blue. It's account bound so I'm happy with it.
But why drop an item for only one race? They could make more money by dropping an item (or items) that everyone can use. I just... like, whaaaaaa? I simply cannot comprehend this decision.

I'd agree that they should at least provide an alternative outfit for other races. Or an accessory or something.
I'm more floored by the fact that, for the second year in a row, a holiday themed cash shop sale is the Christmas event.
Last year people were so certain that there would be something else. Surely, they thought, the holiday event won't be just a cash grab. But then the 25th came and went with nothing to show for it. I hope you like Wintera battlegrounds and golden whale boxes, 'cause that's your in-game christmas event from now on I guess.
$100 for footsteps seem like a bit much, EME didn't used to be this way
The boxes themselves are the same price as all recent years. (Edit: The bundles are not quite as discounted than a few years ago, but the individual is the same. They are the same prices as Christmas 2016 though.) The footsteps being the 5-box prize is different, of course, since it didn't exist before. This seems sort of a hybrid between 2015 and 2016 Christmas in terms of the gifting rewards. (IMO, 2015 Christmas has the worst gifting rewards since they were all character-bound.) I think the box contents themselves are a bit better than the previous few. All in all though... it isn't that different than the past few years.
This hasn't been a great year for TERA costumes in general IMO, but there are 4 in the box: Volcanic Dragon, Arctic Dragon, Starglow, and Life of the Party. Technically Life of the Party is new, but it's just the dyeable version of the one we had before. If they're just doing costumes from this year, I guess they could have put the new wedding dress and maid in there too, along with the Cocktail Dress... but I feel like the older costumes are still more popular than most of the new ones. (Maybe the idol ones will be popular...)

Yep might as well just return to "pay to play" as prob be cheaper
They'd close the game. The vast majority of TERA players never pay anything, and would just quit the game if they had to.
(Personally I preferred the game when it was sub-based too because it avoided this perception, but the reality we live in...)
