its Christmas weekend, so I highly doubt anyone at eme cares about fooling with the game when they have a life outside of work. they want to spend time with their real friends and family. I suggest if people want a Christmas event in game, gather up people in game and host one yourselves. like what we used to do in ch server . you can all meet in a location where it wont lag so bad, maybe hold it at one of the snow places in the game. make it available to all players in the server. invite those new people running around that are hoping that someone will speak to them or invite them to a guild.
Christmas isn't about getting free stuff, and we can all extend the hand of friendship to others in game. let others know that they aren't forgotten during this time of the year.
I truly miss this place in the game. we used to hold events there, and have fun with the new people. babysitting island, you cant really do anything there and it isn't as pretty.
I always have supported TERA, and I will enjoy the game after this, but it is sad to tell a player you have invited to the game that the leveling experience will not be "as fun" as finding Santas while leveling and getting excited over a free Snowdrift mount.
You can do better than this, EME. Don't drop the ball completely.

I would if the game is better. how many times this year alone has eme boosted up something (or made it sound as if they were going to do something special) only for everyone to be disappointed. people should know better by now. ever since the dragon fiasco, ive learned to just wait and see,and not get my hopes up. believe it when I see it.
I've been playing this game since launch and had characters on CH most of that time. Honest to god, if your metric of server population is just random people hanging out in hang-out zones during off-hours (at a time when many are traveling to be with family, and most players are being funneled into instances including a seasonal instance), then things aren't that much better or worse than they ever are on CH for this point in the patch cycle. I've seen actual dead servers, and CH isn't that. Would it be great if it could be improved? Of course. But an open-world hunting event isn't going to improve your population count in Highwatch.
I think you could just get to the real point: 1) I am bored of the game as-is, 2) I don't think Wintera is good enough as a holiday event, 3) I was hoping for something else to do in TERA this holiday to spend my time, and 4) the fact that there's no other event this year makes me feel like EME doesn't care about TERA and makes me worry about TERA's future. I think this is really what you're saying, but you (and others) are making this into this big "the game is dying! EME doesn't care! Christmas is just another step towards certain doom!" -- as someone said recently, this forum seems to be constantly on the verge of a heart attack with how over-dramatic every issue is. Despite people's passion, we'd have a better conversation with the powers that be if we could be more on-the-level and rationalize disappointments without immediately going "THIS is what's killing TERA!". Fat santa was a fun distraction but it's not really the issue at all.

Dude, people post level and rational criticisms all the time. And to each of those linked examples, EME never even responded to the issue being addressed.
Want to see just one example of why this forum has tilted in the crazy direction? When mystic was given a broken targeting system, concerned players asked in thread after composed thread: Is this a glitch? Is this intentional? And no response from EME. Then this thread comes along literally asking "dafaq???" and gets a response within minutes.
Want another example, look at the overblown CCB elite fiasco. Barely a response until people started throwing tantrums about something that, in the grand scope of things wrong with this game, barely even mattered. I could go on. Point is, people try to be level and rational all the time and it never results in a "better conversation" with the people in charge of this game.
