Remove Avatar Weapons

Avatar weapons have no longer any use in game besides making it extremely boring in dungeon parties.

Dungeon bosses die in 10 secs or less, regular mobs die in 1 hit, BAMs and field bosses in 2 or 3 hits max. You don't even have to use skills, auto attack does so much damage and crits so much that it makes no sense at all. You don't even have to dodge because the boss will die faster if you simply take the damage and keep auto attacking, sometimes enemies have no time to attack before they die, or they spend the whole time in air preventing them to attack (like, really?!)

In dungeons tanks are useless because it takes more time getting enough aggro or pulling mobs or bosses than 3 dps players killing them randomly.

And yes, you are no forced to use them, but everyone else does, so the problems are still there, at least in dungeons, which are a joke nowadays.

  • Tera's focus has been moved to the endgame rather than the leveling process. Therefore, Avatar weapon serve as a streamlined upgrade route to lvl65, to prevent frustration from quitting players. Similarly with the leveling dungeons, they now serve a purpose to teach how IMing, lfg, etc. work without actually being challenging and causing wipes and (again) frustration.

Then we should just start at lvl 65 and just keep people at towns waiting for IM to pop out. You can learn LFG and all at any level with any kind of weapon or stuff, or if people are lazy to ask, put a quest and so on.

I am actually thinking in quitting because there is nothing to do. Usually, when i got bored of endgame I created a new character and start from zero, leveling, doing party dungeons, crafting his/her stuff, and all that, but nowadays if I create a new character it takes no time to reach level 65, alone, leaving me in the endgame content that bored me in the first place. So yes, people complained about the grind but they got endgame grind instead, and getting rid of the interesting part of leveling and learning your class and doing plenty of stuff.

I think its a lot more entertaining to spend a few weeks leveling up in different areas, dungeons, meeting new people, doing hard challenging different dungeons, farming or crafting a set piece at different levels, than skipping all that, alone, reaching cap level, alone, and getting into endgame, alone, in less than a weekend. And THEN spend the eternity grinding the same dungeon over and over again. But hey, that's just me.

If everyone starts at 65 then that's the same thing as a bunch of lv 40 reapers running around clueless.

Like every other class is right now? Nobody dodge or place behind boss in dungeons, they stay on lava/water/any kind of long time enemy AOE. Tanks stay in corners, leaving the back of the boss in the wall so dps cant place for crits and stuff. Why? Because they never learned anything from lvl1 to 65, because everything died so fast it made no difference your location or if you dodge or anything, it takes literally a couple of seconds to kill every dungeon boss from lvl1-64 that it doesn't matter if you take a hit or two, or if the tank actually tanks.

They are there to make solo leveling easier, and to lower the time it takes to level. You don't have to use them, and you can also just solo the dungeons if you're worried about someone else using them. I have leveled too many characters to 65 already, and I prefer using them.

Actually those updates encourage me to make 6 more 65s. And speed leveling is fun too. I lv up my Ninja within 24 hours and got the achievement title. It was fun for me. I am tired of immersive gaming experience and [filtered] in mmorpg bec online games are not the best place to experience role play. I tried GW2, Esol, ff14. Even recent bdol, pretty immersive and alot of complicated stuff but I still go back to Tera. Just me maybe.
