SSHM Imperator Mobs

I am curious as to how people go about clearing the mobs on Imperator in their own runs. Every run i seem to do 90% of the DPS have problems clearing 2 sometimes even 1 mob, where as a lancer i can clear 2 easily, up to 3 or 4 if i get lucky and crit a few. That seems to be the main problem of EVERY SSHM run i do, mobs cannot generally be cleared in time. So I'd like to ask as to how different classes clear their mobs or if its simply that certain classes have absurdly difficult times clearing any.

I'd also like to know if people find it better to assign people to mobs based on distance from boss, (Example: Say i can get the most mobs, therefore ill be assigned to the furthest mobs away from the boss at any given point whereas healers are assigned to closest) or do people assign based on place (Example: Like the totems in WHHM of old at shield phase someone gets each totem place in the 4 corners) or do people just randomly go for mobs and clear as many as possible as fast as possible. TY for reading this and i look forward to seeing some replies.

  • certain classes are notorious for killing them even more slowly than healers can because their crit resist is so high etc
you could assign them to people to make it more organized but i think everyone should just take off in a direction no one else is headed and kill them. since you gotta get back to the boss right after low mobility classes should kill the ones closest to the boss, not necessarily the healer > a mystic could go across the room to kill mobs, a priest could go a bit further out, too.

Healers should use 3 pounding crystals, 1 swift crystal that can take care of 2-3 mobs on their own before they transform.

    :awesome:

  • Archer is pain to kill them.

That's sadly normal. I don't think I have ever seen a crit even once (as warrior tank) when running that place. Generally we do our best and just finish clearing afterwards. Right before 20% it can take a while before we're ready for push.

I also wanted to know what is the best method as I've done it few times on my lancer but yet to clear; wiped at 8 percent and 3 percent. I think big issue for my team were the mobs at the end. We usually waited at around 20-21 percent to finish mobs off and then continue as much as possible. I was told to wait at 10 percent and enrage the boss. One time we had him near the wall and only worry about the bottom half of the mobs and just burn the boss but we failed. I realized though a lot of what is going on during the battle does depend on situations and so many things can change. Sometimes I found the priest can kill the mobs that are close while range dps and myself can go out and kill the farther ones. If I'm lucky I can get 4 mobs. So yeah I'd also like to know what would be the best method for both types of parties (Lancer + 2 dps + mystic + priest, and lancer + 3 dps + priest party).

I think for the mob summon before 20%, if it's not possible to kill all the mobs, leave the farthest ones alive - but make sure the closest ones are dead. Let healer sleep the far ones after they transform and start burning. For second set of summons, I would ignore them, but that depends on the party dps. If Imperator is not low enough (5-8%ish), use the same strategy as the first set.

Make use of the cage stack mechanic to ignore [filtered] and focus on burning boss during cage.
If you have even 1 stack left ball does very minor dmg to you. Clear the last stack during the last slice.
Once you start burning only focus on closer mobs if he summons. As long as you're not right at the middle there should be enough space to dps. Healer can also sleep mobs during burn phase.

Why does [filtered] - plural got censored and ball - singular is not ?

Also, for archer i suggest changing stance, using roa on 2/3 packs and cleaning them up with rf/ra/pen
