Pve to pvp server swap

I'm curious if anyone wants to share their experience with switching from a pve to a pvp server. I've been on TR for 4 years and pve is a lil dull now so I'm kinda curious what that MT life is like and how it is tryna switch. Like did you get rekt in open world pvp? Did you catch on easy? Did you accidentally stumble into one of mudkip's massacre vids? Fill me in fam. Tell me your story.

I was one of the bigger contenders for 3's on AV during Nightforge patch. Managed at least 1400 each season with what few healers there were. But since the server was on the fast track to empty and I wanted a PvP-oriented game, I moved with my static. This is probably obvious but MT was/is not a super friendly place. If you didn't know anyone, making people aware of your existence took a lot more effort. Getting in a top guild back then was a struggle as well. But as I was already at the level cap I didn't have to deal with the horrors of getting ganked in open world often. And by then I had enough sense to channel swap anyway during leveling. The worst I had to deal with in open world was during VM4 patch when everyone and their grandma was a slayer or reaper with full buffs, charms, nostrums, scrolls, noctenium, and a +15 weapon who ganked everyone from Oculus to lower level players so it made getting dailies done on undergeared alts a completely tumor-inducing experience. MT's chilled out quite a bit in open world but the toxicity is still prevalent.
