Returning player and everything is uh way different.... and half my inventory is unusable
I'll probably just roll a new character to figure out the basics but I did have a few questions.
Which Patch was it that changed alcahiest, Charms, potions....etc. so I can really read the patch notes?
Should I sell everything unusable? it does say that some of this stuff can be broken down, and is the feed stock still good?
The old gather materials (god tears, scarabs, ores, fibers, scarabs, etc) should I toss that stuff too or can it be used in the current system.
I noticed my mystic was missing a glyph, and that they changed skill levels, what's a proper glyph setup for instances? I know that I need a throwaway page for vow. but besides that I don't completely remember. Also since the changes i can't run gorge because my item level is too low, what set should I eventually aim for to start running that in the future? I guess if I crafted enough i could just make whatever set if the materials i have aren't useless. Also why are gather faster scrolls null now... I liked that [filtered]....
So yeah thanks in advanced

Short version: Charms, campfires and the stamina system are dead. All of the beneficial parts of charms were rolled into the Battle Solutions. Yes, this killed some choices, since now everyone gets the same benefits. Elite has the equivalent of the Prime Battle Solution in the form of an Everful Nostrum, so you can just click that on the bar instead of using the consumable version.
Healing and mana potions were simplified into 3 grades (Minor, Major, Prime), with a 10 second cooldown. The cooldown is not shared between Health and Mana, but is shared within the same type.
You now always have equivalent stats to full stamina.
Alkahest and Feedstock changes were part was part of the Arsenal gear revamped in Oct 2017. http://tera.enmasse.com/news-page/patch-notes/patch-v610301-arsenal
Some gear tiers can be converted to the new system, but that is fairly limited set. (Misery +12, Ambush +12 or better, Deathwrack +12 or better, IIRC.) You should have the quest Fresh Arms--And Legs in your quest log, which will give you a full set of the new starting gear (called Guardian) that you can start your progression with, if you don't own any of the convertible version. (Conversion is done via the Upgrade UI, a new choice in the inventory, also opened via Shift+T as a default keybind.) This armor and the accessories can also be bought from the Vanguard Initiative Quartermaster, with a total cost of less than 50 credits.
A full set of Guardian gear (the low tier) will let you run thing like Ravenous Gorge. The next tier, Twistshard (mid tier) is needed to run the next tier up. You ilvl will mainly only go up as upgrade between tiers. Though the weapon will also give you some increases as you enchant it. Crit jewelry is called Carving, Power is called Pumped. This is always part of the name now.
Speaking of which, gear is now enchanted and then upgraded directly. This includes the accessories (belt, earrings, rings, brooch, neck, circlet), though those only upgrade, they don't have the enchantment step. There is no more overlap where you need to enchant some new tier until it is better than what you are now wearing. Awakening and Masterworking no longer exist as steps you have to perform. Any Feedstock higher than Tier 4 has no more direct use. The same for Alkahest. Some of them can be dismantled for tokens with which you can buy the new enchanting materials.
There is a new version of Tier 11 and Tier 12 Feedstock available via the new emblem tokens, which are part of the dismantling system for the new enchanting materials as well. You can use those to upgrade older gear pieces if you so wish. (They are now automatically masterworked, so you just need to enchant them.) Anything below Tier 11 is defunct though.
Dismantling gear is likewise no longer a thing.
Essential Mana has a guide to the new system, if you want more information. Even EME has pointed people there.
You can now directly pick the rolls of your items. (Right click the item, with your Profile window closed. Select the line on that new window, a second window will pop with all of the options. Select one, click save. Repeat for all lines until everything is set. Then use the commit button and your new piece of gear will no longer be enigmatic.) The first setting of the effects will be free. Subsequent changes will cost Semi-Enigmatic Scrolls. (They both open up the effect selection window again as well as acting as a consumed item, with the total needed detailed there.)
This means that Spellbinds no longer have any use. Some versions can be dismantled though.
The items like God Tears and such still see use in the Artisan and Master test for the profession, but they are of limited use otherwise, as far as I remember.
Crafting Gear Is no longer really a thing. You instead can craft things that help you in upgrading your new level 65 gear to higher tiers.
Alchemy can make and upgrade gems. (You need Emeralds and Diamonds for the high tier (Frostmetal) and top tier (Stormcry) enchanting. Rubies can be made, from scratch, Sapphires can be made from Rubies, Emeralds from Sapphires, Diamonds from Emeralds. -- No, you won't be making a profit if you make them from scratch, the server economies seem to treat the costs for this as a ceiling, not a floor.)
Weaponcrafting makes Golden Darics and Plates, which are for Frostmetal and Stormcry weapon and armor.
Armorcrafting makes Silver versions which are used for the accessory upgrades of the same versions.
Etching does etchings as usual. There now are accessory etchings. Tier IV etchings are kind of a mess to make, as far as I understand it. But I haven't really paid it too much attention, sorry. (Tier 2 and Tier 3 etchings can be bought via Island of Dawn tokens, mid and high tier respectively. These are the basic weapon and armor slots only though.)
Most of the now no longer usable items are indeed just vendor fodder. Though feedstock can be converted up to Tier 12, which can be dismantled. Spellbind also can be dismantled at Tier 11 and Tier 12, IIRC. It should note so on the item in its description, though just activating the dismantle function also should grey out everything that can't be dismantled.
A word about upgrading. Dyads do not transfer between upgrade tiers. If you buy the option to unlock a second set of rolls, which all tiers of the new gear support, that also does not transfer between tiers, so would have to be rebought each tier.
I think that answered most of your question, except for the Mystic one. I can't really help with that sorry. (Just to warn you, Mystics currently have a bug with their lock-on skills in both terms of ease of lock-on and range. The range should get fixed with the next patch, if I understand it correctly. But what you have right now is not intended, so don't expect it to necessarily stay.)
I hope the answers were at least of some use, even if incomplete.
Thanks for taking the time to write this , super helpful. It's alot to take in but i'll be doing that overtime. Mystics not having crazy bugs wouldn't be mystics so that's ok probably.
Hearing that making things from scratch won't net a profit doesn't surprise me, plus that's not really super important to me although it does mean that depending on the amount of time that takes i have to consider how much my time is worth.
The suggestions at Essential Mana, although outdated, still work for the new patch. As far as I can tell, Mystic play strategy hasn't changed overmuch in the last 2 years, just the effectiveness of what you can do. Regular gear now has healer roll options, and the jewelry you want is crit, because power for a healer? Not so much. So no more unique gear for heals.
Mystic auras are OP compared to priest buffs, so enjoy that. Glyphs--I haven't seen PVP glyphs or suggestions anywhere, but you can get the PVE ones at EM's class guide.
I'd leave a link but I can only view the site through a proxy because my ISP is a doofus. So a link won't work.
Anyone else have a suggestion or a correction?
