They decided to triple the rewards in the way that they did to address some complaints for the recent rewards nerf. It's only there to help the gearing grind slightly. It wasn't meant to be as rewarding as a triple drop event or anything like that.
Of course, I too would have loved to have triple the gold and gear XP. The current gear grind is very time consuming (if you're not swiping).
This triple reward event is NOT "xtra free #$%", it also does NOT adress the complaints about what EME is doing and it sure as hell is NOT to help alleviate the grind.
Ever since island of dawn was changed into the bam daily area it is now we have had double rewards for vanguards.
Because we had double rewards, the vg shops had their prices adjusted to that, we also didnt get 100% keen mote like other regions... prob some more differences but the point is that it was balanced as it was...
Now EME changed the normal reward to single, with an occasional event for double/triple... it is really basic math! we need atleast half of every month having triple reward just to have the same rewards as we had for what? 2 years since iod was changed?
Since we are only getting a few days triple rewards instead of half the time we are getting less reward over time... no extra free [filtered] but less, not alleviating the grind but giving us more grind..
Is this really so hard to understand?
It's easy to understand. But I prefer double and triple rate events rather than perma double rates. It's a nice change of pace. Helps with playing the broker too.
I do however want the 90% keen mote drop rate EU has. Or even like 50%. just something higher than what we have now. Now that our VGs are more similar to theirs.

Personally i rather see regular gameplay be worth doing.. i like to log in and decide for myself what to do that day, not be forced to do 1 thing cause that happens to be the event of the day

whoa that was honestly a tad forced.
I would even say that people that don't want to farm madly constantly, could be even better served from a triple rate event instead of normal double, if the total counts to same. Like, that non-crazy farmer would just do his/her farming on the triple rate event instead and chill on the rest of the days.
I do agree that this is not beneficial for everyone tho, specially since it creates time frames you must adequate to, and some people may just want the constant anyway. My point is just that there are pluses and minuses to each thing, like, the above case shows an advantage.
If the majority prefers it tho I'm not gonna discuss, I can't say for majority after all.
I don't think you understood my comment or the topic of this thread. My comment earlier was addressed to the OP who called this a "triple lie event". It was already mentioned in other threads that they had removed the double vanguards to give them "flexibility" to do events such as this.
I don't like the change myself, but comparing the vanguard change to someone vandalizing your home is silly (to put it as nicely as I can). Let's be honest, BHS probably pressured EME into removing the perma double VG's because of the newly added Guardian Legion.
Also, the moderators have been locking threads that talk about the VG changes (if you haven't noticed). I didn't go on a rant about the changes because if this topic gets hijacked, then it could be closed too. If you want to rant about the VG changes, check out this thread .
