Stop complaining about TERA events
we should really stop complaining about how the events are and at least give them some praise for the effort we are starting to see in the community. this is just the begging, so spamming chat with "[filtered] event" and "teras dead [filtered] staff gg" isnt going to help. ( let me just add im not talking about when we get server wide lag, tera staff ended that and im pretty sure we wont be seeing that in the future.)

That seems simple enough, right?
There are many who pay for their elite, and pay for their cosmetics, and pay to keep this game alive. So they have a valid opinion, especially when it concerns adding 300 ping to a normally sound 55-75 ping.
There is nothing wrong with saying "it's been 2 years since you updated the Ace Dungeon shop." There's nothing wrong with saying "My ping has increased 200, this is not acceptable."

If anything EME has handle this in a decent way, getting feedback and keep the even running a little bit more than EU to see if it would be posible to get a fix or at least to identify the cause of the problem itselft.
We got a compensation now with a triple vanguard items and credits and also a small head accesory as a token of aprettiation from them.
Issues as the one this event brought to servers are not wanted at all but is not as if the world is reaching the armagedon so some complains are just over exagerating things.
People are making valid complaints on here. They are losing the playerbase and people want to voice their opinions amd concerns.
Well hopefully this thread doesnt get you flamed as a blind whiteknight and ends up baiting ppl to close this thread. We've seen enough new threads to stop ppl from complaining that never works.
I would agree with this 100%. The event was terrible, but the way they handled it was executed quite well in my opinion.
Now if they would have handled it the same way on a weekend like they normally do... that's another story.
Anyway, I don't think telling people to stop complaining will help; it'll just turn people against you personally, as if you're the problem. I do think the underlying point -- that people should try to remain objective and consider both the positive and the negative fairly -- is valid, though.
To be fair, it's not like we're "starting to see", it's just getting back to it's feet. It's heading back towards the point where it should have never left. It's no beginning after the game's been up for now 6 years+ on the same publisher, they should have already some notebook of "DOs and DON'Ts" there somewhere after so long time. Nowhere near a beginning of changes.
Flaming without any other reporting ain't helping for sure, but it gives a picture on the discontent at least, so it's also not 100% null.
You say that TERA staff ended the server wide lag and we won't be seeing it on future, but well there wasn't any major change in server code that we were reported about, and we can feel it on our own side ping-based lag that it's not been done much on the BHS side of things, so there's no way En Masse could have fixed it, and basically their fix for the lag was to remove the broken event that crushed servers. They pulled the plug to control the damage, not fixed it. I'm not saying they sucked at it, that's all that is under their power: to gather information, report back, and wag their tail with wide eyes open begging for a fix for BHS, that as we know, shows a big middle finger. EME did all they could but it didn't fix so, sorry if it sounds pessimistic, but it's just realistic based on what we get of information around: Yes, the server wide lags will continue to happen until BHS stops showing NA the finger., whenever such events happen again. This is why they pulled the plug on this one and so did EU.
I understand wanting to bring positiveness to the community, and I'm with Cassandra on this one: we give credit where it's due. We can't keep praising and praising. If a student used to get 8/10 on tests and got praised for it, same student will get a lecture if he gets a 4/10 right? Now, if it's back to a 6/10, we do praise the improvement but should we really hail it as it was with an 8/10? Well no, and that's what we're having now. It's heading back to where it should have never left, and that's great. It's not YET great (or sadly, near it) but we are giving credit where it's due. You can't consider the loud bashers as a majority, neither does EME take them that far, they're also not that sensitive to cry about some b!tchy bashers behind a monitor and stop doing better, they're adults working after all.
If you check it, the most sensible people here aren't bashing EME about the event status, but BHS instead for sloppy code.
