Again, the topic was actually ANSWERED, on page 1. OP wanted to know if he can or cannot do a DPS meter and the answer came quickly. Then, it started with people debating wether it's useful or not for the less knowledgeable player, which automatically gave way to "you're stupid for disagreeing with me" comments.
This whole deal about DPS meter is more like a cult. You love it and you hate who don't, or vice versa, otherwise you're not entitled to give an opinion.

Sorry, this ain't fooling anybody. The whole deal isn't one sided, never was, nor ever will be when it relates to DPS meters.

Wanna call me an asslicker? Do it, whatever, call me his/her alt all you want, fun fact - we're on slightly different sides on the matter even. I saw the whole discussion, from the start (kinda regret the wasted time). It wasn't any "Elin Usagi is trash" nor anything, it just evolved bit by bit, stop trying to pose as one sided and sugar coating it.

And yes, please mods if you can close this topic, as I said on now the 3rd comment: it was answered on page 1, evolved into an interesting discussion on it's use, derailed into "you're stupid cause you disagree with me, ignore X user's posts he's a troll".

Elin Usagi is completely right here from the small bit of posts I've read. Dps meter is next to useless for improvement for those who lack foundation with their class. Most people, even those at higher levels, still don't know how to properly adjust their playstyle by comparing skill breakdowns, Hits-per-minute; both of which are the most important pieces of information provided by dps meter. I've introduced many friends to this game and only those will the proper guidance for their class was truly able to take advantage of the meter's capability.

Additionally, as a top player myself, I was very knowledgeable of my class before I even started using a meter. How could one manipulate their skill usage properly If they don't understand their class?

I was kicked out of a party, in RK-9 in the last boss, just because my dps did not please a player, who was with that dps meter! I sent a petition to the support of TERA, and after that, I did not see the player in the game anymore! I think they banished him! And whenever I see someone with this dps meter, I will do the same, because as they said above, they use this to humiliate other players, or simply pick the best ones in your party in "IM", and kick the others. You must ban all users of this dps meter, made for imbeciles who do not know how to play for fun.

He must got a ban for few days/week. He doesn't want to humiliate you. RKNM has a dps check on the shield and if your dps were that low that he wants you to get kicked then you probably put abysmal low dps. People don't have time to wipe RKNM for 6 hours from one bad player not contributing breaking the shield. If you IM and expect get carried hard and being a deadweight to your party you deserve to be kicked.

Mine - "Storm Cry +7 +6 +6 +6" I can destroy the RK-9 shell alone.

But as I was tired, I was not with the dps so high, hence they decided to kick me, and put one of them, but only they knew me was not so high because of the dps meter.

No!!! They kicked me because they wanted to add one of them to the party, and that's exactly what happened, because I waited at the entrance to them all, and they were all from the same guild and little friends. You have to ban these people from TERA! EME has to be respectful, Eme has to be severe about all this!

Frankly, I think both are exaggerating. Yes, people DO kick for whatever reason. Just a while ago I entered a TRNM run and someone tried to kick the Priest just because Priest. And that was IM run. After it failed the tank left after 1st boss without saying a word. Dunno if related, if so, that was very scummy to do. People CAN get that scummy.
And on the other side of things, no, not EVERYONE is that scummy. And the entire deal about meters just gets always heated up for the exact same reasons: someone who's passionately against it just assumes everyone who uses it is a cheater manure sack. Who loves it assumes it has NO issues. Every now and then someone with proper arguments pops up, and gets swarmed by the passionate comments.

@AxeI Dunno if it did come across or not, I did mean that the topic didn't start as any one-sided bashing on any player, not by you nor by "the one who's name shall not be mentioned", truth is that the topic started civilized and got derailed little by little. Hence I do ask kindly for it to get locked at once and stop the further BS fest, after it did derail, the passionate people swarmed and the classical "you're wrong" by any side whatever it is, keeps going.
I ain't gonna defend either of you on the arguments, I have my own stance on it and can't care less if anyone is the sole defender on the issue or not, it's just that the topic has taken a turn towards the meme side, when it gets ignored. The only thing I do hate is when people who defend one or another side play the blame game and point fingers like it's one sided, as it literally never is.
