3 years to make a male brawler ....

Are you kidding me ? I mean did you make an entirely new race, with new animations and all new armor and weapons for it.. as well as fashion stuff... maybe you made a bunch of new brawler moves too... in 3 years you could of added a whole new map addition.

I seriously doubt anything new has been done, all you're going to do is import the animation code into an already existing model and reuse the same armors... 3 years for that.. jeeezus fkn lorrrrrd.

Male Brawler does have the same animations as Female Brawler yes, even the death animation.

However BHS makes more money and spends less time creating female classes, this was released possibly as another test to see if it's worth creating male classes, now that it's finally reaching every region they can look at how it played out and decide if they want to continue with males or scrap that idea altogether. It's up to the consumers now.

Who is "you" in your rant? EME has nothing to do with the creation of male brawler.

i'm obviously talking about the makers of the game. who am i. i dunno, some pleb that's been playing off and on since 2015 even though the game was released in 2011.. anybody who's been around that long hats off to them for serious. the brawler has been out roughly for as long as i have been in the game or started shortly after, dont remember the exact date... pretty sure brawler came out in 2015 .. ish.
just my opinion, gender locking classes is kind of dumb...
it's up to the consumers.. well.. it's f2p.. only thing ppl are buying is aesthetics items..
i obviously like the game or i wouldn't be coming back every so often... orrr, all the new games coming out of recent are pretty trash, so might as well stick to one that's pretty decent and actually runs, roflmao.
some things are worse, some things are better.. overall ... still pretty much the same ol same ol.

That's all with BHS, and at least they let us have him. I'd rather it take 3 years than not have him at all. Plus, he looks hot. I am getting tired of playing all female as there haven't been any new male classes since I started playing the game. I'm a female, and I gotta tell ya looking at wobbly [filtered] is getting a bit old. I guess it's a lot of work, because they have to make the animations for every character and class. Maybe now, they have enough classes and can focus on adding those classes to more races.

they already have all the code from the previous brawler they made. only real issue is adjust the character model doesn't clip with all the armor... which i could literally do in a few hours using UNITY, as an individual who as a hobby makes MMD models... i can honestly say it doesn't take anywhere close to 3 years, maybe a week if you're super lazy. They're going to use all the old armors and the male human model already exists, so its just a matter of copy and paste. i am more than sure their are a ton of really talented ppl who do the same thing i do and are extremely great artists that would probably agree. everything is pretty much the same as it has been including the item mall stuff, they just render items different colors and throw it in half assed, which really sucks because while yes you get a choice of colors, theres really no individuality, at least allow us to dye ALL of the armors what ever color we want. after 7 years... you would think they have it right and want to expand the game, but more things have actually been removed than actually put in, quests have been removed.. entire zones wiped, some areas not even completed. while it is a buisiness and they need to make money, i wish they would make an effort to expand the game and do more than recolor, rename and recycle item mall stock or other armors and weapons in the game.. make it worth it for the player. it's still a fun game, and to be completely honest.. it runs better than the majority of the newer titles out on the market.. which is really sad, lolz.
Like myself, a lot of players come and go in spurts just to see hopefully that some new things have been added, new zones, new armors.. new classes etc etc etc. in reality the game looks like its almost at the end of its life cycle where the only attempts are superficial changes to tease and glamour while they ride out the cash cow til the end.
  • We could actually have a male Reaper type class (called Shadowhunter) also and a female dual-dagger assassin type class (called Tempest) if they ported in the animations from Devilian. Which, by-the-way, is closing on March 5th. Both Tera and Devilian are made by Bluehole so since Devilian is closing it shouldn't be that hard to keep a couple of their staff around to work on Tera classes. =) Just an idea but knowing Bluehole it probably won't happen.

It's not quite the same because Devilian is from another company that the BHS owners bought out. Maybe in closing the game they will bring some of the staff to their other projects in other divisions, though (unless the existing division is already working on their own new project).

I don't know if you've ever tried Devilian but someone must have worked on both games cause their gunner is just like Tera's. Some skills are different but they are pretty close, even the run animation and holstering if I remember correctly and Devilian had the gunner first.
And the new project, though not sure if it's the Devilian team working on it, is A.I.R. which looks like Tera meets steampunk. Looks very promising. I will definitely try it on launch.
