About events and BG jackpots random rewards.

Most of the recent events and BG jackpots had really sought after rewards, like smart dyads, master crafter's additive, emerald/diamond jackpots, ..., the problem is that none of them were guaranteed, and the chances to get "the cool stuff" were pretty low, so, even if, on paper, recent events looked pretty rewarding, they were not because of the awful rng involved.
Personally I'm not against rng, but, since we have to deal with it every time we play Tera, it would be nice to have events and BG jackpots that allow us to choose the rewards that we want, instead of getting feasts and dragon scales all the time. A good method to deliver these rewards, while keeping the need to grind, would be a token system: winning a BG or completing an highlighted dungeon would reward a certain number of "event tokens", and clicking on them would open a shop that would allow players to exchange them for the rewards that they want, no rng stress involved. Of course the best items (smart dyads, ...) would cost a lot of tokens, and the common items (feasts, crafter's cures, ...) would cost just a few tokens.
Hope we start a discussion that gets EME's attention, cheers.

    To be fair, sounds great. One thing that people have been asking for was to revert back to the old credits system where you at least could chose what you get with your credits. I wouldn't revert it entirely back to that, since for example CS ladder guards, are filling one of the most important roles but may get VERY low contribution points for their job, meanwhile they deserve a heck lot as well. Sure, this also introduces rewarding better who didn't deserve but better to get when you DO deserve even if who doesn't deserve also gets, than to not get when you deserve.

    In principle, I agree with the proposal. However, keep in mind that the prizes and rates are based on the fact they're random, and the fact that people won't always be able to get the best reward. If you introduce a token system where people can choose the reward they want, the more valuable rewards will be more expensive. That's probably still better (I think so, anyway)... but that's the trade-off of choice vs. RNG.

    (That said, it still depends on EME to implement, and creating and balancing a token system takes more time and probably an EN patch to coordinate. Just adding RNG jackpots/rewards is easier/faster for them to do, which is probably why they do that more.)
