Still getting this error today after downloading the latest patch.

Did anyone ever find a solution for this since EME has been silent on the issue?

    You probably should contact support, as there's no particular common cause for an error like this. All it means is that "the game crashed for an unknown reason". If it's happening on startup, the most common causes are corrupt files, invalid modified files, or some sort of conflict with something else running (most common: game overlay applications). Some people who play through Steam have found that launching directly outside of Steam has helped (but there too, it's something about the Steam overlay or some plugin that's probably causing the conflict). If it's happening when you do some specific thing in-game, it's probably a corrupt file and a repair would usually fix it... but, in rare cases, there could be other hardware-related issues as well.

    In any case, after trying a repair and the usual support steps, I'd send support your diagnostic log, and if multiple people with the same issue do that, they may be able to figure out what is common between all the computers with the symptoms.
