Ideas on Repeat.

Fells like forever I wrote a rant in the forums. Does anyone fell like tera is in this weird gray zone? because I do case in point it shouldn't never have been like this in the first place. Just simple things cause a bad chain of events to happen. A bad dungeon + lack of people and do this on repeat for about 3 patches. your player base will suffer. Enmasse / Blue hole should work together to find a way to give tera its last hooray before it ends. Setup a static system that works and stick to it. Player overhaul in the gear department was a good step forward but with static things that get in the way that pushes it back.

Small list of me personally I think they should avoid when making content.

Add a option for player alerts to work in "Any Dungeon" this will help new people learn it. Also for those who complain how its too easy to let them to disable it for extra fun.

Stop adding gimmicks. Here are few good examples of gimmicks of recent pass I notice. RNG (Sort of) Death mechanic, It involves a person being cheated out of there party. In BP the teleporter for the last boss you may think its instant and allows 5 people to enter but sadly it only allows 2-3 and there's a secret cd per person then you gotta guess and hope that other portal works then there's another in RHMH were lasers come and at the odd time it staggers you 3 times and there's nothing you can do about it and die. (In short form. Just incress players quality of life in a dungeon.) Not fake the level of being hard. if you die you wanna fell like its your own fault not. Oh [filtered] wtf game.

Stop adding things gamers hate. When people come home they want to relax and not "Think" Do you wanna play a game of Simon says every patch? I know I don't if you are going to add a mechanic like that. Make it viable all the time. from the start of the mechanic till the end like in Manglemire. Make it viewable at all times.

Small chart of proper "How many mechanic a boss should have."

2 Star : 1-2 mechanic Last boss 2-3
3 Star : 2-3 mechanic Last boss 2-4
4 Star : 3 - 5 mechanic Last boss 2-5
5 Star. 3 - 6 mechanic Last boss 2 - 7 Depending complexity of it. Say you have a scale of 1-15 lets say you got a budget of 60. Something simple like a red and blue mechanic costs 15 there is 45 left of your budget (Per mechanic). Anything over just causes stress to the player. "Some players might have a different budget but 60 would be a safe avg." Also something simple like Avoid this aoe 2 times in a row would be 7 ish of the budget


Thanks for reading my rant. hopefully they can take this in and edit tera. :D They aready took few of my crazy ideas back in 2016 :D like objectives in the overworld I called them shadow worlds but same thing and gear overhaul. Maybe this will change things.

    I knew you were completely clueless when you mentioned the rmh lasers stagger after push back because they changed it and it doesnt stagger anymore :D
  • I agree with a lot of what you are saying but tbh the problem is mainly about BHS and EME's hunger for player's money. Make the game fun like it used to be. Make IOD a party friendly, update ur ace dungeon credit shop and make the meta tokens same value when dismantling and purchasing. Make soul bound gear account soul bound not character soul bound.

    Oh they did? I just remember it like that sadly died to many times to the dame rng triple stagger.

    This has nothing to do about what VGPlayer is pointing out.

    Dungeon mechanics has nothing to do with a devs and publisher being money hungry.
