Are EMP sellers exploiters too? Back from having to pay 1:3 for EMP to 1:30 now.

doesn't apply at all. care to explain why you think it does? are players selling emp items on broker and using the same tactic?

Why do you think it doesn't count? Both have no fixed price, both can be obtained from anyone, why does it matter if it's brokerable, if someone sells out in chats - does that not count as well? If I sell all my T9 feedstock for five times what the broker average is or put in items the broker does not have any listings for a mass amount more than what it last had, how is that different from someone selling EMP?

if you had read the first post...that people are locking at a lower price and keeping it that way by locking out any negotiations you'd see how it's different. it's using a game mechanic, broker specific to accomplish. just selling through chat or broker emp items...even if locked so you can't negotiate isn't as feasible considering the much higher prices involved and the fact that emp items tend to be vetted more thoroughly by players. would you just post something that cost you real cash at whatever price was shown in the tooltip? everyone knows the conversion rate for their server. more flexible items like feedstock, alkahests of various types, mwa, etc do fluctuate.

the emp to gold ratio rarely does except to go up :\ no doubt there's been some shenanigans in that regard, several months ago there were several people on ascension trying to drive the rate up and they eventually succeeded. also like the broker not something eme will probably ever deal with. higher conversion rate emp<>gold benefits eme as the grind for gold may seem to require more time than just buying whatever outright through emp.

downside is high conversion rates also benefit gold sellers...something a lot of mmo's besides tera who have systems where players can sell store items or store credit directly don't seem to get. you increase the grind ratio for the store credit to in game cash ratio and players without scruples have 3 choices. grind, buy directly...or buy gold. player cabals who screw with the in game economy screw everyone.
