One little thing I don't agree with.

Ok. So I see these new cosmetic school outfits, and I don't agree in the way they are being sold. The rng box stays rng and that's what we are used to already, but why even the "direct buy" box has rng as well? Sure, you DO get an outfit, but perhaps not the color/shape you'd want. So please, BHS/EME, for the next sale, make direct sales actually direct.

cause profit they dont care about you
  • It's not just that, but imagine spending 2.5k emp and then you happen to get the track suit instead of the school uniform? Just not ok

It appears to be because, instead of doing any direct sales this time, they made all the direct sale versions available in-game (vanguard, killing spree, timer) or via giveaway instead.

The two RNG boxes have all the same costumes in it; the wardrobe box guarantees you a rare of a random kind, and the regular lootbox you have a chance at a random rare or other consumables (like regular lootboxes). The wardrobe box is also time-limited, whereas the other RNG box doesn't seem to be. So basically the wardrobe box isn't a "Direct Buy" option, it's just an alternate lootbox for the rares. There are no "non-rare" costumes for sale. If they let you just flat out purchase a rare costume direct buy, it'd probably be even more expensive.

    0/35 on technicolor yawn box
    1/65 on prismatronic smart box
    1/20 on fiery wings
0/65 on purple master plasma loot box
0/50 on hello kitty white tux box
0/80 on unyielding inner wear box (crit inner) with 1 blue pull
    0/10 on shadowlaced loot box
0/45 on shadowmare horse mount loot box

RNG boxes are BS. (all boxes payed with gold at 1:30-1:35)

I 100 percent agree with non RNG box costumes and the way they are doing this event

But even the 2496 emp boxes are still RNG?

I'm personally not going for any of these outfits, unless I decide to get one or two for the broker, so I'm not bothered at this way of doing things for this sale. I bring this up in case it becomes common practice and eventually something I like is gated by rng or other shenanigans like this. But, if I'm paying 25 dollars for an outfit (actually more expensive than most things I wear irl because of idontcare), I might as well get the one thing I want.

It's still rng but you're not getting 10 ses or 50 mwa, you're getting a whole costume. Sell the thing, use the gold to buy another box off the tb.

Problem with tb is that because of demand, some will be sold for more than others even if they come from the same valued box. So you may end up with one that's sold cheaper, and facing paying the difference yourself.

Regardless, you'd still be out less money with this box than you would with a regular lootbox, hence the difference in emp price.

Yes, the wardrobe box has to be compared with regular RNG boxes, not direct buy costumes, because these are all the lootbox rares.

Don't get me wrong -- it would be way better in every way if we could just buy everything direct-buy and there were no lootboxes in the game at all. But once the Wardrobe box goes away in two weeks, all that will be left is the regular lootbox and the horrible odds (high chance to get nothing) that go with it.

My problem was that I wasn't seeing these costumes as rares, like the dyeable versions of other outfits, or special outfits. To me they seemed common enough, and I even wondered if there were going to be dyeable or special versions in the future. But apparently these are THE special versions, and as you said, there's no common versions at all.

Well, there are common versions, but they're just not being sold on the cash shop. If they didn't put them in Vanguard/Killing Spree/Timer Tokens/Giveaway, I imagine they'd be there for 995 EMP each.

If those are the common versions, then yeah. I'd assume as such as well.
  • Guys I want to know how I can spend KS for the boxes. Should I find a guy anywhere who sells the boxes or how else? Thanks

Look for a Killing Spree Merchant. You can find one in all the major cities, for example in Highwatch, Velika, etc. You'll see the smartbox in that merchant.
