Ninja Vs Reaper dueling

  • Ninja will win for sure ;D
  • I wouldn't be too sure. I got made Reaper skills lol XD

Hmm. That does make me question which would win now.

On one hand I still feel like ninjas would be better as even though reapers have a lot of cc also, I think ninja would have an easier time evading said cc (as they have a lot of evasion/positioning skills). But if we swap the roles, reapers also have a decent amount of those same evasion/positioning type skills. So each has a fair chance of avoiding the others cc's.

What I'm curious about is who has the advantage when it comes to doing damage. I think ninja would have the upper hand as they can get cdr from auto to continue doing damage to reaper (if reaper is stuck with most of their skills on cd). But that's only if ninja can survive thru the entire reaper skill arsenal.

The other thing I'm curious about is who would have an advantage with positioning. Ninja is optimal at close range, while reaper is optimal at close-mid range (~10m) for the hard hitting skills.

    Any thoughts?

It's like any other class the one who is more skilled wins but Ninja will be broken at the start with more nerfs coming.
Theory craft all you want but it all comes down to skill.
  • Everyone's talking about theory crafting and skill... but does anyone have a video of a Ninja dueling? I only saw that one super short guild event duel and a crappy CS game.

I can't seem to find a single good quality video showcasing ninja PvP potential anywhere, which leads me to believe they're not noteworthy at all.
  • Try watching the Ninjathon on twitch for better view of Ninja.
  • LOL a lot of fan boys praising ninjas, as soon ninja got their first nerfs they will be ok for pvp, but the kings of pvp will remain the same, warriors, reapers and lancers.

Hard to say for certain right now, but just looking at Ninja on paper they look like they suck if you're going standard dueling rules.
(aka no 1 min+ CD skills allowed)

Despite being a "ninja" every approach they have is pretty telegraphic.
Just needs more time, maybe. This video made it look super depressing though.

Lack of a hard CC like Reaper's Cable Step or a huge stun like Smite would be one of the issues.

1st fight and 1st fight only:

I fought tons of them but still think ninja >>> reaper.

I mean ninja is currently OPest class due to CCs, fastest mobility snd dodge/evading ability.

Ninjas are a joke to fight

Ninja is less reliant on aspeed and ping and aim than reaper to get their combos off.
they also need to know less about opponent. it's an easier class to duel with.

oh they also have an iframe advantage, if you cast your dodge, then wait the 3 secs out, it won't go on cd and you'll have a double dodge up again, whereas reapers dash will go on cd. it's w.e. i feel ninja is stronger atm on equal skill.

Well the Koreans in Ktera think reapers are underpowered hence the incoming buffs. So your opinion of everyone thinking reapers is OP is wrong.

    -Death Spiral
Glyph of Powerlink (Grim Strike) will persist through the entire 5 seconds duration.
Glyph of Powerlink (Grim Strike) uncommon & common glyph changed from 20% to 30% increased base damage.
Glyph of Powerlink (Grim Strike) rare glyph changed from 25% to 35% increased base damage.
    -Double Shear
Glyph of Powerlink (Grim Strike) will persist through the entire 5 seconds duration.
Glyph of Powerlink (Grim Strike) uncommon & common glyph changed from 20% to 30% increased base damage.
    -Sundering Strike
Can be used as a chain skill after Death Spiral.
Base damage increased by 20% if chained after Death Spiral.

in ktera they have talent system, so in our sytem reaper are very strong, in their system they suck with their reaper

I dunno, I dumpster ninjas with reaper in duels and I only PvE on reaper so idk....

You get one stagger combo on ninja and poof. I'd say reaper vs ninja much easier than reaper vs brawler for example.

    UHHHHHHHH

brawler is honestly one of the easiest 1v1 matchups for reaper now.
  • Honestly it's pretty favored to Reapers since Reapers have so many staggers and so much AS. One Thousand Cuts, is very easy to be staggered out of, especially if you don't have AS (Which apparently on VoT Ninjas seem to think AS isn't important) You go to One Thousand Cuts, Reaper Double Sheers, and your on CD. They can also get you between OTC and Fire Bomb/Roll since they have higher AS and you're vulnerable after, I actually tried to roll once after a OTC missed a Reaper, and I got staggered out of my roll, didn't even think it was possible but I went on CD.
