DoTs Rework

What about rework DoTs and make them %hp of bosses.

Something like 0.025% hp/s as 3 stacks archer poison arrow.

  • I'm not disagreeing with your idea, just saying you say 25% of bosses hp, what you meant to type was 0.025% which would be 2.5% of 1%.

  • A flat percent of dmg would can be game breaking if they mess up (which they will) and then will be having hard mode boss being whittled down by painblast VoC and poison blade/arrow faster then regular skills

    @BlackMagesKool this why i am suggesting that %hp per sec. Would be necessaru 4000s to kill the boss. If you put painblast and poison blade with same %hp/sec would be necessary 1300s (around 20min) so will not be game breaking.

    And improving a little the dps of the classes that use.

    For speed runs will not worth use, because the time it stay up is really low.

    This will allow new players with low dps to clear dungeons a bit faster
  • Yes please. One of the great joys of playing as an archer/ranger type class is the ability to inflict DoT effects. TERA doesn't have DoT effects - well it does, they're just not all that... effective. Poison arrow is pretty much only viable for pre-65 content. At 65, the skill is virtually useless, save for the initial damage (when all other skills are on CD; it actually has a decent base attack and seems to crit with some consistency; other than that, the DoT itself is absolute garbage).
  • Poison arrow I would say is never good, the time to cast it is like 1.5 seconds or something and the initial damage is medium at best and the dot is just a joke. Making poison do % would be good but to make it not so op having % based on current hp and not max hp that way when the boss is on 10% the poison no longer is effective.

    What do people think of poison being %damage of current hp?
