Any tips for leather workers?

So I got to lvl 42 and am yet to see any hides drops. Is there a knack to farming these elusive mats?

    Buy em off the "armour working supplies vendor", the game throws gold at you later on and the hides can be bought from the vendor and refined.
    Loot all the ore and plants you find, buy the leather and skill up armour crafting from refining alone until 500 then you have to do a test to unlock 500/800.
    Buy a scroll of teleport to Highwatch and change to the lowest pop channel, in the far left of Highwatch on the ground floor are all the vendors and design vendors and more you will need and it's peaceful as it's a lv65 town so to speak.
    Make sure you sell the pearls and other gems you get from vanguard dalies, they sell for 50, 100 and more gold each.
