Deleting character: lose the character slot or not?

I'm wondering about character deletion, and what happens to the slot they were on. For instance, I don't play the first character that I created, and would like to delete it, if I get to reuse the free slot. It's a very low level slayer, if I recall correctly.

Can you delete characters, and retain the slot? Thanks!

    Well yes of course, they're would be no point in deleting characters if you couldn't make new ones instead.

    Imagine if you deleted all your characters. Now you couldn't play the game anymore... literally! xD

    Nah... a slot is a slot. It's not the character in it. You can delete how many times you want and create a new one.
