Hello, yesterday I downloaded TERA on ps4 and I created a Mystic Aman, then I was reading and in some forums I talked about certain races being better for certain classes while others said that it does not matter what race you are or what class you choose that is only aesthetic. I want to be a good Mystic, not a troll, so I hope they answer me. Is it okay for me to be a mystic Aman? or there is some race that you recommend me and why. Thank you

    Aman mystic sounds awesome! :) I am maining castanic mystic myself, there is no difference with races (I mean, there are some racial buffs, but they don't matter at all when speaking about mystic) so just roll the race you like the best.

    The "certain race for certain class" is important with sorc the most I think, elin sorc being superior to any other with faster animations?
    But with mystic what matters the most is your skill and knowledge of the class, since it is not your main concern to dps (and dps rate is what is supposedly better/worse race-wise in other classes)

    Thanks you! Is there any advice you could give me about how to equip and upgrade my skills?

    For leveling purposes it's pretty straightforward. You'll collect shards for avatar weapons from mobs you kill to upgrade your weapon every few levels. Vanguard requests will reward you with tokens that open a little mini-shop where you trade them for the other pieces of gear appropriate to the level of the token. Rolls won't be too important while leveling, just make sure your gear is the appropriate level for your character (meaning once you hit level 44, you should be looking to upgrade your gear to level 44 gear, then you'll upgrade again around level 50). Once you hit 65 you'll get a free set of enigmatic guardian gear for every slot. Check out the gear guide on essential mana for how to upgrade and enchant your guardian gear.

    as for the skills, TERA is about buying every new skill and skill upgrade whenever you get it, so simply grab any new skill as you level up and try to understand how it works :D

    you probably will "feel" after some time which should be used when, Essential Mana guide https://essentialmana.com/mystic-guide-pve/#skilluse is nice when gathering "How to Mystic" in one place, however it is muuuuuuuch smoother reading when you kinda remember the names and uses of the skills, probably not the best idea to jump into this guide as soon as you created character.

    Also, mystic is one of the older classes in TERA, and those tend to have some (if not many) skills that are fairly useless. For mystic, these are many dps/crowd control skills which are situational and/or PVP, tbh as 65lvl PVE mystic, I keep them totally out of shortcuts, that's how useless are those for PVE :P . The guide linked above says those are: Sonorous Dreams, Mire, Ancient Binding, Curse of Confusion, Curse of Exhaustion, Shara’s Lash - and I almost agree on those, BUT they may have situational uses, as Shara's Lash is your stun debuff, Sonorous Dreams is your sleep debuff, and sometimes you need those in dungeons.

    That will serve me much xd, only that I created the character in server pvp (look at the size of my ovaries baby) and I would also like some advice to avoid a good raped or at least give a fight xD

    oh, myst pvp is op as far as I heard, but I can't help with that, never was into pvping :) I guess the two curses - confusion and exhaustion might come in handy then :)

    Being a high elf was quite useful to me. I appreciate the MP restore a lot.
