Stuck on quest -To protect the innocent-

in Console - Bug Reports
Was doing this quest on my alt priest but before i talked to Emun i relogged to do some dungeons with some guildies on my main. Now i log back to my alt and i am greeted with a force field i can't pass. But i managed to jump on the right side but Emun is no where to be found and unstuck and returning to the quest with the portal does not work. So since i have no way to reset the quest all i can do is delete the character and make it again. Problem is i alleady spent EME points on this character for the angel wings so i dont want to waste them.

    Can you try typing "/reset" in chat to reset the instance and see if that works for you?

    I'm also stuck at the sane point, internet hiccuped right as i was killing the foot soldiers. I killed two, but when i got back the instance was clear of all enemies. Reset just takes me outside the instance; I still show 2/4 Aragon Footsoldiers killed and no enemies. :/

    Seems there's a lot of problems with instances where there are gates/forcefields. Same thing happens in Tragedy and Triumph.

    I tried reset as well but is the same like unstuck does not work. When i teleport back to the quest i was it is the same issue NPC does not spawn and the force field blocks the path. Nice when they don't evben add a reset quest option...

    So, I'm not the only one.. I have my founder's pack accepted on this character, and I can't get the girl to follow me so it'll spawn the enemies..

    En Masse seems to really not care at this point. Is there somewhere I can request a refund? I can't even use the items I paid for because of this crap.

    If you haven't already, probably best to submit a ticket first and then think about giving up on the game if it doesn't work out. That's what I'll most likely do.

    Basically the problem is that there's supposed to be a "Quest reset" UI that shows up in this situation that resets the quest progress to fix these kinds of issues, but on PS4 that UI is bugged right now (it works okay on XB1). As a result of this, although you can reset the instance, you can't reset the quest to get it to the right phase to progress. Until they fix this bug, there's probably no way except to contact Support and have them do it manually, but they're swamped with tickets so it will take a while.

    Hopefully they're able to get the underlying bug fixed soon so that everyone can fix it themselves.

    I got it to work by
    Typing /reset
    Then going in the portal got a message bottom right "are you sure you want to reset?"
    I was talking to anya when I accepted it

    The poster above me helped me figure something out, regarding a possible work around until the devs can fix this.

    Okay, I think I know how to fix it, but not sure if this works for everyone or always works for every dugeon that suffers from the bug. Either type "/reset" into the chat log or go to "Options > Quick Matching > Reset Instances." Once you get back into the dugeon, after the loading screen continue to press the "X" button and a message at the bottom right should remain if you keep pressing the "X" button; otherwise the message disappears and you won't be able to use it to properly fix the bug.

    Once the message remains you no longer have to keep pressing the "X" button. The message that remains is something like "Are you sure you want to reset?," hold down the options button and the dungeon should no longer be glitched.

    Ok there no guarantee way of getting out of this glitch. But I found a couple of step that work for me.

    The first step is to reset the mission by using the menu option Reset Instances or typing /reset . Spawn back in and go kill yourself. Instant Resurrect by holding the option botton and pressing X. It should give you option to reset the mission. Reset Instances again and use the teleporter to go back. The little girl should be there with her teddy bear. If so you finish the easy part.

    The second part is the annoying part of this glitch. Go kill yourself again and this time don't instant resurrect instead hold the option button and push O to cancel. Hold the option button again and it should ask if you would like to resurrect at a safe haven press X. Use the teleporter again and cross your fingers that the reset option is there, if so talk to the girl and while talking to her hold the option to reset the mission. It will spawn the monsters and the mission can be finished.

    If you didn't get the option to reset then rinse and repeat the second part until you get it. Like I said it's not a guarantee.

    Ok i got it to actually to reset where the little girl shows up and it tells me to kill argon thralls but ofc they dont spawn. But after that even stated above it does not help so a few questions.

    @Vidia do you hold the X ( btw on the ps4< ) when you see the loading screen or rapidly tapping X ? I do so some text popping up for a fraction on the lower right corner but so far holding X or options does not seem to help.

    @K4TAWKG4RK How many times did you had too kill your characther for this to be able to work ? i tried 5 times now and no luck so far. but like aboe i do see a popup lower right for a fraction of a second but holding up options or X does not work to keep it up.

    If you 2 both play on xbox then i guess like counterpoint says it must be bugged on the ps4.

    I tried testing the "holding X" technique on PS4 (along with a whole lot of other combinations of button presses, holds, and mashing) and wasn't able to get the Quest reset UI to stay visible or to interact with it. Maybe there is a way in some circumstances (like after death, as someone mentioned), but can't seem to find an obvious 100% workaround yet.

    Again, on XB1 it works perfectly.
