PS4 - Screen tearing

Please, we need some kind of "vsync" option on the PS4. The game looks great but the screen tearing is just too much... Thanks.

  • I have a PS4 Pro with an SSD drive on a Samsung 4K HDR TV.. And the tearing is annoying as hell
  • Yep can confirm, PS4 Pro, LG 4K tv, tested with PC screen and 1080p tv aswell, tearing is really bad.
  • This screen tearing is absolute garbage on the ps4 pro. Running on a Sony x900e tv. Other games have no issues like final fantasy xiv. This game needs to fix that. It's terrible.

I have the same problem on my PS4 pro. Thing is guys the game is very bad optimized for consoles i made a post few days ago how bad the game runs on the consoles. Others that played the PC version said it is normal even the PC version has the same issues still lag and freezes afther al these years that the game is out. Console should not be affected by this because of specs and it is a damn console easy to optimize for. I notize that the developpers do not care, they just want to cash fast when the hype is still up for the console here in the EU-US. I Already stopped playing the game (have a lvl65 char). I will move to beter games and never touch an MMO on Console again Tera dev's [filtered] us over once again back then on PC and now on console. Trust me things won't change i have read old post for PC and new stuff and it is clear that the dev's do not care. Such a greath game with good combat being s-hit on by lazy dev's that only care for the region S-Korea, that has way less issues with the game then EU-US.

Um screen tearing occurs when the frame rate is above refresh rate.

Its not bad performance its actually implies good fps. As said we just need a v sync option

FF doesn't get tearing as its locked to 30 fps
  • Ps4 pro with sony tv 4k and massive tearing too.
  • I am getting bad tearing as well =[
  • Please add a V Sync option
  • PC version is fine if you have a good graphics card & computer, no issues when i login there. PS 4 however.....
  • Gonna need some pictures of this. Just because you have a 4k tv doesn't mean you have a GOOD gaming 4k tv. Lots of TVs aren't designed with fast motion in mind. Rtings . com shows a lot of good info and I'd be willing to bet most people with tearing have low rated motion tvs.

I don't have any tearing at all either of my TVs, but I bought them for their gaming ratings. One is a Vizio 4k HDR the other a low end vizio 4k without HDR.
  • I'm literally using a monitor... It's weird that every other game does not do this but this one game does
  • Here is an example. I literally just stopped and recorded this right where I am at in the game. PC works great but PS4 version there is a lot of screen tearing.

  • You said you are using a monitor. What monitor are you using? Do you use Vsync a lot on PC games? I honestly don't know a single person who uses Vsync since like late 90's. Monitor tech, on gaming monitors, makes it a pointless option.

Playing this on my Vizio M50-e1 not a top of the line tv by any means, but a good rated "4k gaming" tv I don't see anything like this.

I had to "enable" vsync on a Dell UltraSharp monitor for the PC version and I'm seeing major tearing on a Vizio M75-E1 with the PS4.
