Just hit level 60. What do I do now?

Just hit level 60. My goal in Tera is to hit lvl65 and become one of the richest players on my server so that I can afford any outfit I want from trade brokers. Any tips on how to accomplish that?

  • Your best bet is to probably just spend some real money on those fancy outfits. Crafting is dead, so that profit window has closed. Given the rate and price items sell at so far on the Broker and NPC's, you're bound to have enough IRL cash to buy whatever before you get enough in-game cash for the same items.

Well I'm trying to avoid having to pay real money for lootbox exclusive outfits. I've heard people spending over 50 bucks and getting nothing. No way am I paying for rng.
  • Even though it'll probably be the longer route, I can only suggest that you sell as many items as you can to NPC's and at the Broker while spending as little as possible. Even when it comes to crafting, you'd find yourself trying to craft items that will take some time to sell since it's still rather early in the game, most may or may not need then yet, and others can get better drops farming dungeons. Not to mention you can only have 1 Master crafter per character. Otherwise, you'd just be waiting around for someone to take that RNG chance to get said item and then put it on the Market rather than using the item themselves. The choice is yours.
  • Also, Elite Status might help since you'll get double the gold from quests and be able to post more items on the Broker without a fee to put them up. Perhaps this is something that would bode well for you?

I do have elite status. I have no problem spending money on the overpriced items in this game I just want to avoid rng gambling at all cost.

Anyway, how should I approach lvl65? Is there anything I should be focusing on like gearing up for endgame? Only one of the lvl 60 dungeons drop armor according to the instance list. The rest just drop materials. How am I supposed to get good lvl65 armor if they don't drop from dungeons anymore?

Why would you use the loot boxes? You can just buy the costume itself - it just costs more EMP, but gambling the cheap boxes may end up costing more. I would never touch the loot boxes - once they have a costume I want, I'll just buy it directly from the costume list.
Making money in Tera - doing lots of dailies, get into a guild that runs end game dungeons a lot. I believe you can make quite a bit in PVP as well, but I never really messed with PVP when I played it on PC.
  • When you reach level 60, you should get a scroll that take you to the start of the level 60-65 story line quests, I think it was called Velika Outskirts or something like that. Just follow the storyline quests, and que'ing up for the 2 dungeons (one is at 62, and the other is at 64). Just work on the storyline quests while you are waiting for the que to get you in. By the time you finish the story, you should be at least level 64, or maybe even 65 depending on how many dungeons you did. If you still only 64, then just finish what's left by fighting BAMs or 1 more dungeon run.

Once you reach level 65, you should automatically get a level 65 item set called Idoneal. Use that set and you should be able to get enough ilvl to do the first set of BAMs on the Island of Dawn. Complete the vanguards in Island of Dawn which gives you tokens that you can exchange for tier 9 set called Slaughter.

Slaughter set is considered pretty good, but not the best. You would have to try to get it to Masterwork +12 to get enough ilvl to do the 2nd set of BAMs on Island of Dawn which I believe has the Guille set (tier 10).

As for gold. You can get a lot of gold off of doing the vanguard missions at level 65, and even just doing the level 60-65 storyline should be enough to get you like 4-8k gold (depending if you have elite). To really get a lot of gold in our current version would be to make multiple characters and try to get them to level 65 and do the vanguards on them every day on all of the characters you have.

You could also sell the rubies, pearls, sapphires you get from the vanguards to. Some may say to keep them as its used for enchanting in the future but that probably won't come to consoles for a long time and for all we know, we might not ever even have that in the future. I mean PC just recently had that upgraded enchant system not to long ago, and we are a year behind so it could be a while before we even see it. So I've personally been selling the ruby/pearls/sapphires.

Some of the outfits are only available in lootboxes which sucks.
  • Thanks for all that info Darkrulerjoe, I'll give that a try.
  • Odd, I thought I saw all the outfits in the costume section as well. I'll have to take a closer look, see what I missed. I know some mounts with special skills are only in loot boxes, but I thought I saw all the costumes for normal sale. I'll have to look when I get home.
