Having trouble seeing names of monsters on the screen (XBOX ONE)

I am really having problems seeing the names of monsters on screen as the lettering is rather tiny. I also cannot figure out how to make the lettering bigger. Does anyone know if it is possible to make names easier to see by either changing font size or color?

Question #2 -
Is there a way to easily read skill descriptions like we can with the buffs? I think for buffs you hit select and then Y button. I cannot figure out how to do the same with my skills on my bars (even though I think it showed for me at some point.. maybe by accident). Trying to memorize Skill Icons and what they do is kinda tough in this game.

Thanks in advance!!

  • I have the same issue. Someone suggested in my post about this topic that the color of the exclamation marks signifies the type: red for quest, green for vanguard, etc.

I'm using the original xbox one. May I ask which version you are using? I'd like to determine if upgrading my console would make an impact in gameplay (performance / clarity) or not.
  • Yes, when hunting quest specific enemies the color ! next to their name indicates what they give credit toward. Red being a story quest, Green a Solo quest, etc. I use an S on a 4k TV and I can understand that you might have a problem with the text, it is a game format thing not a console issue though. You can always view your skills in the skills tab and learn them that way, sadly a game like this will require you to memorize your skills because in a dungeon or PvP you can't sit around and read what a skill does for 8 seconds before casting it especially in a support role. My advice is to take the time to read your skills in the skills tab, learn them and set up your hot bar to what fits how you want to play best. Also do not forget you can add a third skill tab via the options menu, if you feel that it is necessary (Pro tip: It is).
  • @TX2OGEL989 I am using the Original Xbox one and I too have started thinking of upgrading to an XBOX One X as it might help with a with the frame rate issues and such.

As to my 2nd Question I just figured it out... for Xbox One you can press select and then down on your D-Pad. This will allow you to mouse over your sills on you skill bars and tell you what each skill is and does.
