  • Tearing is a hardware issue more than a software issue. Just like gaming PC monitors, there is a difference between gaming tvs and regular tvs and no that fake 240hz refresh rate you think your tv has doesn't matter.
  • Here you go definitely screen tearing on PS4

  • And what model tv do you have? Also, "so bad" is relative. That was barely noticeable. I actually had to look at that on my phone to see it cause it wouldn't show up on my monitors very well.
  • I think it's been better for me last couple days. In a dungeon, it runs pretty well, and I haven't had the server freeze me in the last week (right before it went public, I would sometimes freeze for 15 seconds, that went away though). As for tearing, I usually notice it in towns or large areas, like looking at the sky, running around in Frymount, etc. It has seemed better to me than it was, so I hope they are working on optimization. I do play on a 65" 4k tv, and the game only plays in 1080p, but not sure if the 4k display makes any difference.
