439 isn't as hard as it was previously with the lowered cost of gold for guardian/twist. A new player could get 439 in 2 weeks of playing just by finishing 16 daily vgs, and 40 boxes from guardian daily. ~2-3 hours per day isn't that much of an entry barrier, even if its not every day its doable on 1 char very quickly.

It's still not like the copious free FM+0 that EU gets, but it's still a lower bar than it was.

This has absolutely nothing to do with gear leveling. My post ws about new players being rewarded for being new players like the good ole days when en masse gave a crap

im love when healers dont have 100% hp rest glyp when they get LKHM ( and is green old glyp , you can get from saber armor)

im love when people have free frosmetal set but no idea how use their characters .........................

I liked the old way of tera better. back when 60 was max level. it took time to hit 60, and by then people tended to know how to use their class. also being able to run in cs from 30 on up actually helped players, or at least in my case, learn much better and faster how their skills worked. now, newer players or running the flavor of the month class, can reach 65 in no time, and press spacebar or spam 1 or 2 attacks.
I suggested that if they want us to rush to get to 65 so bad, then start us off at 65, and make mobs and bams 65 and up, and have us quest through the content and maps, and in doing so, earn our gear and enchanting materials. that way people can enjoy the game much better instead of hitting max in 1 or 2 days and spamming the same few dungeons for gear and mats.

Again OP missing the point. New players will have more to learn about end-game and their class even before getting into awakening.

Let it be a progression, a goal. Once they reach item level 439 then they have something new to look forward to once they learn more about their class, end-game, and themselves.

Slapping awakening with all these new skills on top of new players getting all level 65 skills and getting master glyphs would overwhelm them.

So I will repeat this again.

    1) Item Gear XP event > Leveling XP event.
    2) Leveling is easy.
    3) Don't rush new players to get awakening.

    I rest my case~

Whatever, I can see now why everyone hates NA and it's sad I live in the NA and even I'm starting to hate all of you. You bash and insult new players, tell them to leave the game. New players have no idea what tera has to offer , and with people like you oh so wonderful one, they certainly are not going to stick around I know if I was new and met someone like you I'd most definitely have left. Also what got me into this game was one of the level up events and I * gasp* stayed I know how shocking that must be to someone but i was lured in with events of course, thanks to people like you those event's no longer exist.

If it makes you feel better, I think a lot of players won't even care much about awakening. I couldn't care less. Just like many players have no interest in maxing out their gear. I see loads of people leveling characters and goofing off. I enchanted guile, because it was easy and the materials were handed to us through events. The events used to be fun, so it was a win win. With the new system, it's just too much gold. I don't care about grinding in a game. I play for fun. If I want to grind, I'll goto work. There's too much of a grind in real life for me to even think about spending hundreds of thousands of gold to do upgrades. I just wanna earn gold for mounts, pet and clothes. I wanna goof off and have fun. If that makes you look down on me, because I have free gear on, so be it. I will try to be ashamed as I pick which outfit to buy next.

I don't quite understand why people started to reply to this thread like this was a clone of that other where some guy complained he needed an ilvl of 439 to get the awakening quest.

I remember the time I was leveling my 2nd character, back when 60 was the level cap and when leveling took notably longer than it does nowadays; at that time there was a leveling event going on, yeah it gave you some exp boosters and whatnot, but the thing that was really interesting to me was that little box you openened every 10 levels starting from level 15, I kept grinding and doing all those painful side quests even without elite or exp bossts solely because I was curious about what the next box would have.

The OP never said he wanted an event to level faster or a full frostmetal set to be handed out to leveling players, take the Gameforge event used as an example and remove the exp boosters and equipment boxes, you'll still have something to entertain new players as they level up, where's the crime in that?
