What am I going to be spending my gold on in end game?

Im elite so I dont buy battle solutions. I know you can buy auto looting pets? But is there anything I should be saving gold for? My buddy jokes when he dies that he'll just auto rez bc you don't use gold for anything in this game anyways. Is he right?

    Upgrade materials, unless you just buy them with emp it's faster to buy alkehest and high level spellbinds with gold then farm them.

    Also like it or not you will have to get into crafting if you want better gear than what's in the game. For example you can grind out Guile gear through the dungeons but past that (the ambush set) you do have to craft. So having gold to buy materials is a big deal. And while on console we're a bit limited on what does and does no sell on the broker, in the future you can buy elite status, character slots, skins, outfits, mounts, etc from players off the broker with gold.
