Melee Classes Ranked
I play on the PS4but I wanted to ask people that have been playing Tera for a while to rank the melee classes from best to worst. I figured seeing as how the game started on pc it would be better to ask this here so more vets could chime in, I started with a slayer and he is almost level 40 so I was thinking about trying reaper but I want to know if that would even be worth it I may also try Berserker. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Even on PC the current rankings are going to change shortly due to the awakening patch. Any accurate tier list is only going to be so for a few months on PC at most, and probably less for console. Classes that are bad right now on console like warrior will be much better with upcoming patches on console and are top-tier on PC right now.
It's only worth playing a class if you enjoy it, if you play a class you don't like 100% then when it gets nerfed into the ground in a few months, or all the other classes get buffed sky high, you'll be way more likely to jump ship or abandon the game altogether. Hell look at ninja, a class that was insanely broken on release on PC, is now bottom-tier DPS due to issues I wont go into here. Pretty much all the non-hardcore ninja players either stopped playing ninja or quit the game.
If you really want an idea of the DPS rankings on PC right now, you should head to google and search for moongourd then make judgements for yourself.
Slayer gets easy to play when you have all his skills. They have hard coded chains that makes rotations into a single button matter. Will do nice burst damage as long as he's behind the enemy when using the harder hitters.
Zerker may have it's rotations, but when starting up on low tier dungeons, you will be able to get by if you focus on Thunder Strike. Just activate the glyph that removes slowing when charging, and use the move speed buff skill often for easy repositioning.
Warrior has a bunch of skills, some more used than others, but the core dps mechanic of warrior I believe is still around scythe, which is the skill you have to hit the enemy to charge up. Warrior can use a tank stance as well, but I don't use it much. I feel warrior is best as dps.
Reaper was the first 'easy chain' class, but in my opinion, something feels odd about it and I can't quite pull it's full dps potential. Also it's only elin. So use only if you don't mind being a gothic loli in game.
Is Ninja even available on console? It reads as not available on the main page. Same with Valk and gunner. Anyway, Ninja is apparently weak right now on PC, but if you stick to a short rotation running around Double Cut and skip all the flashy time consuming skills, you can bring a very stable dps to the table. I prefer to use the focus bar in fireballs instead of the cartwheel spin attack. It's slower but hits have a much higher hit ratio. Spin attack can easily miss so use it only when 150% sure you will hit with all 3 spins. Also, same elin thing as reaper. But not gothic.
Brawler is supposed to be the higher damage tank of the 2 tank classes (3 if counting warrior's tank stance), but Lancer has mostly caught up on that regard, mostly considering that even since a few versions back, direct damage > direct threat. So in the end, both tank classes can be classified more or less the same and are a matter of choice. At least brawler now has a male option. A brawler is supposed to tank while also burning his rage bar while feeding it up with certain skills to try an infinite rage loop. As lancer, you have options to prevent damage while attacking with the Iron Will skill, and you also have a 3 stage debuff. Forgot the name of the skill, but it's the one that drops enemy def and stacks 3 times. No idea if lancer debuff is still overlapped by warrior debuff, so keep an eye on that.
I think I covered up the melee aspect of tera from a hopefully not so outdated point of view. The rest are ranged dps and healer stuff.
None of this is correct lol.
Newbies can pick the so-called highest tier and be bottom tier because they assume the class will carry their lazy [filtered].
The worst people are the one that criticize and don't contribute anything at all. Atleast say something that has some value to the OP question, like why you think i'm wrong instead of saying something that's just plain rude lol.
The rest? It depends on the patch. I mean, at one point ninja was mad OP but now is garbage tier.
finally some words of wisdom.
