And its been like this for the past MONTHS.
I live 40min from Chicago and I get 1XX-2XX ping every night.
And I did upload diag to EME, but unlike some people in the forum, I don't think EME will/could do anything about it.
Like I said, its been months like this. There was a post from May 2017 from EME talking about they're trying to fix it.
It's been that long and nothing improved so I would assume they "moved on" from that issue, I would suggest other players with ping issue to moved on as well, either accept it as it's a TERA thing, or try other games with other publisher. cheers

EME had actively communicated with players and done lots of work for this issue, but unfortunately, this issue was not fully solved. It seemed the issue was kinda getting solved, but people have been still had the issue, and the word "Comcast" has got a new definition of "Ping spike or Lag" in TERA community.
Indeed, it seems like EME stopped (actively) communicating with players for this issue, and just asked people to submit their diag file. Well, that was not wrong, but since this problem is going on, people probably want to hear what is being done by EME.
To EME, just fyi. For lots of people, "I am getting comcast." became a new neologism for lag issue. Guess why.
Jokes aside I felt some lag yesterday after a few months with no lag at all so I can already feel how cancerous it'll get.
I thought this was due to the fact that they had less workers to deal with the workload to lessen it for them , what with the workers that still are here are now with the other games or console

Does anyone know a way to fix this one or at least make it less visible in game? Maybe some VPN through Chicago? Dallas? NY? I needed three hours today to do what i usually do within one hour.

The servers in that case are over in California, but same Comcast problems.
Who knows for sure (since it depends exactly on where you're coming from, but definitely try places like Virginia, or Toronto, etc. It will add some, but might take away the brunt of it. Try all the things...
Same, I just did a few dungeons and guardians and the spikes were pretty annoying.
I also have been having these ping issues in the evenings EST for the past two weeks.
Lately, if the login to the launcher doesn't pop up within a few seconds after clicking the shortcut, I can already discern I will have ping issues.
On good days, 30-50 ms. Lately 300+ constant. No spikes. Just a constant 300. Unplayable. I just afk craft. It's the time of my life.
I forgot to add that the day before when I experienced the heavy ping jump, I was also not able to log back into the launcher when trying to restart my client. It took at least 1 or 2 minutes to load the launcher screen and it did not have have my username populated. When I logged into the game, it started me at the server screen at first and went through the teleporting graphics before showing my characters. Typically this occurs when the servers are reset. So yeah that was strange.
