Pretty sure you're allowed to use the new mana charge in battlegrounds (you just have to cast mana to charge it). The charge heals though and applies a power buff so it would still have its positives.
Of course you'll have even less mana than you already have so :shrug:

All priests will have for mana restore is the glyph on the new regen circle which I think is the same as the glyph on restorative burst just relocated after awakening. I hope they buffed it at least.

It heals during charging and per tick charge. The extra power buff depends how much you are charging, and party also receives mp replenishment.
Thank you for the correction then. Though I have to admit that I was mentally treating 'during the charging' as also a buff, even if it isn't something that lasts beyond the charge process. My apologies for the bad phrasing on my part.
This thing reminds me though, a wishlist for the EME patchnotes for this upcoming patch.
To avoid people wondering if they'll get nerfed in certain ways if they go through the awakening quest (like here, where Mana Charge is lost as a skill and the replacement apparently disabled for battlegrounds).
Also because people will be confused if there is only a 'some of the new skills are disabled for battlegrounds.' Even if it's in the tooltip for all of them, we'd likely still have an endless number of discussions pop up as people are confused.
EmE won't give you that wishlist, and if they did there would be something wrong...I can already see the patch notes having something wrong since it always happens.

As for the skills disabled in BGs, it's supposed to be high CD skills but there may be others, you'll have to either experience it yourself or get someone from KR/EU to answer it.
Hell, doing IoD on my priest (slaying obv) will be even harder cuz they've decided to merge buffs.
Yeah kinda sucks, but as of now slaying won't be a mandatory think in rke. We will see how badly balanced for talents antaros abyss and rebels hideout will be (2 new dungeons coming a ~month after awakening). If those are mandatory to slay in like rke was it will be cancerous for sure. The new dreadspire will be very hard to slay in because of the constant bleed debuff as well.
That is 100% out of the question. Not only do they not normally do that (hurray for player live unpaid beta testers!) but they are severely understaffed as it is. Awakening part 2 will come out before they fulfill your wishlist.
Slaying won't be required anymore thankfully, awakened classes are now #WOKE, and non-slaying classes get ~30% more dps (slaying crystal is ~22%?)
IoD should be faster on priest now... no?
DS will have to be adjusted or we will have to get a major buff. I'm not sure if it will even be clearable by teams of full +9 who are guild/friends and know how to play together.
