Rally will occur between the hours of 5 pm and 10 pm PDT (8 pm and 1 am EDT).

I mixed up PDT and PST when converting from UTC (which is what our servers run on). These are the corrected hours. UTC conversion mixes me up sometimes.

When we switch back to PST (EST) the hours will be 4 pm and 9 pm PST (7 pm and 12 am EST)

What about setting Rally up completely different entirely? Making it a constant event like Bamarama, and only allowing entrance once a day for players so that they cannot capitalize the rewards. And instead of giving the rewards to only the highest DPS, do it a bit like mongos and give the same rewards to everyone who participated? This way it's giving every tera player a chance to enter, no matter their timezone. It also would prevent the same 2 guilds from monopolizing the event as well. It's probably not possible, but it would be pretty interesting if it could be done this way. o:

Two unfortunate limitations to what I can currently do:
    1. I'm unable to change BAM spawn time. I've sent all your feedback to our developer Bluehole for the current functionality, both the pros and cons. I don't have anything else to share on this specific functionality at this time. Please continue to add your feedback if you haven't. If this changes I'll let y'all know.
    2. Adding two spawn times each day is interesting and I think has potential, however there are some functionality issues so that's off the table for now. We'll play with it some more, but for now it's one Rally a day.

That being said, I've taken your feedback and worked with Player Council to come up with better Rally times, so here it is.
Once v67 Godsfall goes live on Tuesday, April 17, All 6 days of Rally will occur between the hours of 4 pm and 9 pm PDT (7 pm and 12 am EDT).

Time for rally to start between 1 am and 6 am, was fun while it lasted. Enjoy it us players o/

    woes of an NA game

It's how it should be so I'm not really disappointed, I wish we could get a double rally going on sometime soon tho! Dreamstorm used to happen at times that were good for all timezones but they lagged the servers badly :sob:

The rally times have been the same for over a year, I'd agree on spawning 2 rally bams a day (except saturday), because then most timezones will have the chance at doing rally. Making the spawn time 15 minutes instead of 5 minutes would also help people prepare a lot better.

Spawn times being 15 minutes would allow people to inspect players and only invite those in Stormcry +9. We had a 10 minute timer before and the same guilds on every server always got first and monopolized the rally.

    Rip my timezone ffs.....

First i couldn't do CU and now Rally time is taken from me...
    Thanks alot EME
  • Can someone explain to me why rallys don't have a set time that they happen? Like why not give each day their own time that they spawn so that everyone and their mother can participate and make rally's slightly more enjoyable...

Because this is a north american server you're playing on.

I honestly don't believe EME should be screwing NA players out on any days.

Sorry but... This is the companies home region.

I think hes referencing the 5 hour window for the bam to spawn

....the 5 hour window ontop of the bam spawning not even a minute after being announced is a pretty big inconvenience regardless of the timezone

This does seem like a nice approach.

Give everyone a single entry per day and they can form a raid to kill an instanced BAMs for a fixed reward. Make the rewards bound-to-account enchant mats to prevent abuse. The only difference between raids would be how long it takes to kill the BAM and it would be an incentive for guilds to do it together and it would encourage all level 65 players could participate.

A more inclusive event like this would be great for the community as a whole I think.

We really need rally twice a day, and more precision for hours, because "between" 5 pm and 10 pm PDT is 2 am and 7 am for EU timezone...that's the same thing for Civil Unrest. So, RIP rally and CU now...

    That's what I was going for! :D
  • Ok, this is NA I get that, so times are right, but to entirely cut out EU ... uncool.
Chance to level my guild is again gone ... ow well. :/
  • @Bartholomeus, you're not alone. Unfortunately, I had a post written out 25 hours ago that, having proofread after posting, needed to revise and have essentially lost that post -- I don't know where it went -- explaining how this affects Guilds as far as leveling is concerned. @Singlebear, could you please find out what happened to it? ^_^;

But, yes, in that post, I did say that having multiple Rallies throughout the day would be a fairer way to go about this.

Being that Rally Quests work in tandem with the other options, however providing a few more points than the rest, all Guilds should have a greater opportunity to participate, at least once, perhaps at most once daily with a single Quest option for it.

The way I see this is, Rally Quests operate in a fashion that is timed. Currently, it's a surprise, because it's no longer selectable on our menu -- we can't see it as we once could before Rallies were removed, which is another issue -- but getting to the point, a Rally Quest as it stands now would be the same as offering all of our Guild Quests at a certain timetable -- you may only access them during select hours. If you cannot be logged in for those hours, you cannot participate, therefore, you cannot advance. While this is a bit overdone, I would say a small stretch, Rallies have returned, have been active, and do run on this platform. In essence, because of the timing involved, no matter what timezones or timeframes set out for us, someone does potentially get set back by it as it remains in its current principle, so I express great encouragement towards looking for a way to implement a more diverse, if not a more permanently accessible, constant, ongoing nature to it like the Bamarama as suggested. ^_^

I do understand that a Bamarama-type timeframe still does not guarantee true completion, as, to my knowledge it requires that the BAMs be defeated and does require great group participation, hence the Raid composition, but it does offer a broader spectrum of availability, which is what we could all use.

For right now, my husband and I are determined to continue running and leveling our Guild as strongly as we always have. We've done quite well without Rallies so far, we can continue without them; however, we do look forward to hopefully seeing a far greater improvement and implementation of this feature in the future. ^_^

Gonna dig this topic back up. Rally popped on FF at 3PM EDT (12PM PDT) today after Godsfall was released. @SingleBear

It was also a PVE rally on the PVP day.

I'd still like to get more feedback after these changes go live. The reason I added an additional hour to the time Rally can start is I felt it added a little more fairness. Some days east coasters will luck out when Rally starts earlier, but then some days west coasters will luck out when Rally starts later. Hopefully, more often than not, it triggers somewhere in the middle when both coasts are online.

In a couple weeks we can always revisit these times after some more feedback and do some tweaking.

adding an hour during 1am and 6 am dont help players in that timezone at all !
if rally is really supposed to be "random" why dont you just double the spawn time, seeing as eme always says it strives for fairness ..and the bigger the spawn time for rally the more fair it is for everyone .
if you can change the time by 1 hour you can double it, then for non NA players it would roughly be 1 am to 11am.
as it is CU is very late for eu players 2-3 am .
    this is extremely unfair.
