is it worth it to run 4-star dungeons?

Hi,
Returning player here was wondering if running 4-star dungeons is worth it. I have a lancer, mystic, brawler and priest in FM and this is when enchanting becomes more costly. And of course the new dungeons need more than just unenchanted FM, my lancer keeps getting kicked from RK-9 even though i know the mechanics.
Since the entry dungeons are faster and give 600g i would think they would be better for effiency.

you dont runs high and top tier for make gold, only for exp gear and maybe mats ( or desings )
im saw more people in hightier dungeons when double exp gear coming up ( double no 0.5 hue ) or highlights for double droop and jackpots.

for enchant frosmetal you need a friend or get daric desings ( only wroth if you geared + 3 alts/main ) since you need artisan in weaponcraft to craftem.

find friendly guild to run hightier dungeons, but you dont get gold from them.

  • Considering the time that takes to clear one of those with an average team (1 hour), its not worth, unless you have a static of people full SC+9 or just want achievements.

Item exp and enchanting mats are faster to get doing IoD BAMs/Guardian thing/Ghillie (Petrax if you are desperate), gold is also faster to farm doing Guardian missions and low tier dungeons. Rally quest also gives you enchanting mats.

You can survive and git gud brah just by doing that, but it gets old pretty fast unless you love grinding. If that happens, do some 3 or 4 star just for lulz.

    RKNM is distantly worth doing.
SCNM and RMNM take way too much time. SC would be fine if we only had to fight Darkan, not endure thru the snorefest of mobs and flying cows shooting lasers.
RMNM bosses are just annoying bags with 3 kkk hp.

Even in ims some 439s take max 40 min with people in frostmetal.
With well geared people they take 20-25 mins.
It's worth it for the xp and mats if you're making deathwrack etc.

Are you getting kicked at the start of the dungeon or during? Are you doing IMS or using LFG?

    Generally,

    - If you need gold, do 412s.
    - If you need gear exp, do 431s.
    - If you need mats, do 439s.

Because of the time requirement for anything above RK-9 normal, it is recommended that you run with friends, people you know are good on your server, or your guild. Even Sky Cruiser takes ~30 min with a frostmetal party (and its practically impossible to die in SC.)

In any case, with awakening you should be able to clear more quickly.

Maybe in theory they could do it in 40 min if everyone played perfectly, heres how it really looks:

Nobody knows what to do, one guy proceeds to watch a video and asks everyone to wait, rest derps around. When you start first boss, 2 people instantly die and talk about colours begins together with constant ressing and dying. Someone complains about lag, if theres sc guy in party he decides to log off due to trap run so you have to reset it and party match for 10 min+. When you finally kill it everything took 40 min, just for first boss.

Second boss - at least 2-3 wipes, due to various reasons. Probably someone will get tired and rage quit, so another 10 min + matching after reset.
Actually killing that one can take 1 hour, so its 1h 40min total.

Third boss- if you're lucky maybe you gonna slowly kill it without wiping, there will be at least 1 perma dead floor mat so you will be left with 2 frostmetal +0 most likely first timers as dmg dealers. I'd say at least 30min+ if they bothered to do some research and learn on the go, so that's over 2 hours.

Thats what real life 439 matching party would look. That's the experience I had during rm jackpot event.

Bosses there just have way too much hp, unless you run it with guild of geared people don't even bother.

  • 4 stars are worth running just find a good party 1st
  • No, these dungeons are useless besides the decent amount of item EXP.

Don’t understand why the high-tier guilds require skills in these because they’re crap.

While I know what you're talking about as I do IMS a lot these runs are kind of rare. And runs that long can only happen in RMN really, because that's the only dungeon with tons of hp. Rk9 is pretty fast, lkh and trh are easy and fast as well, scn is boring and tanky and BP is something no one ever does because it is tanky AND the mechs are complicated.
So far, after the rk9 patch hit, I only got stuck in ims for a long time a handful of times. Had a 3 hour trh run when I was on my brawler because the healer was learning last boss and couldn't stay alive ever so it was troubling. I also had an almost 3 hour rmn run a few days ago with a learning tank and dps but I joined that one in lfg because it was a learning run.
Back in the vs patch I had VSN runs that could take a whole afternoon though lmao
  • IMO, only dungeons worth farming are gg and RKE sell runs.

The 'Run RG and KC only' meme needs to die.

I'll start off by saying the you should 100% be only running the maximum difficulty dungeons that you can do as a priority. If you need money, you don't do RG and KC. You do Guardian missions and sell your boxes, or try your luck, maybe get a diamond, then sell your rubies and sapphires to a merchant. My average from 40 boxes is 10.7k gold.
Keep in mind you could, if you wanted, sell the gems to the broker for 5% more income, but that's up to you. Or craft emeralds and sell/use.

The only reason you should ever do RG and KC on a geared/semi-geared character is to:
1.) You think you won't be playing for much longer that day. So you run RG/KC for the sake of completing all your vanguards for the day.
2.) It's not your main character, it's an alt, so you don't want to take the time to do 431s or 439s. Again, for the sake of completing your vanguards for the day.

There are many ways to make gold that isn't wasting your vanguard initiative on RG and KC. You should value your daily limit, and run more of the dungeons that you can complete.

Don't think I need to mention this, but 431s and 439s give more money and better rewards than RG/KC.
