Returning Tera Player - Questions
Hello all, I played Tera Online on the PC from launch until a few years ago, not long after it went free to play. Was pleased to see that it finally got ported to XBox One and PS4. With that said, I'm planning on playing on PS4. I've not kept up with the changes over the years, but did discover that there is no longer any open world PvP on the PvP servers, is that correct?
Also read something about not being able to PvP until level 65? What is up with that? Anyhow, looking for a description of how PvP works now on the consoles. Also, are there still guild wars available?
Is PvP all cross server with access only through queues?
Being out for a while, what classes are needed most for grouping/PvP'ing? I'm going to assume healers/mystics. Also, how balanced are the classes now? Or are we still dealing with flavor of the month classes that are OP'd. I'd prefer to pick up as a sorc, but don't want to if it's not viable solo.
Last question for now, how fast is leveling to 65 if that is the needed level to PvP?

there are 4 queue pools, ps4(na), ps4(eu), xbo(na), xbo(eu)
for pvp healers are always needed, but I don't think its a problem to take any other class
classes were never fully balanced, the balance is not the worst at the moment but will get worse with the release of the missing classes
lvling is rly fast, if you don't know what you doing its maybe one or two week, if you know what to do its 2 days
Thanks for the info Myx! Last time I leveled a character was years ago on PC, did it grinding and kiting various zones. Is that still the fastest way? or is questing now?
Leveling has been made a lot easier and with the introduction to items called "Avatar weapons" which appear like every 3-4 levels, starting at 16 I think, makes killing mobs much easier. You can easily solo open world BAMs with the avatar weapon and even using any class, so it's not like how it was when the game went free to play when you needed a full party to kill 1 open world BAM lol.
Healers and Tanks are the classes always needed for grouping. Both healers are wanted, and as for tanks the one wanted the most is Lancers. Though you could still do well with Brawlers but a lot of people are annoyed as we seen some bad brawlers kind of giving a bad reputation to the class lol.
You should get the kumas dailys from lvl 30 on for an extra xp boost. The battleground is stupid but easy and fast doable.
Does the Kumas daily XP boost stack with the elite status 100% XP boost?
I decided to level a lancer first. Back on PC launch, I went lancer with my first character, was one of a small handful on my server, never had issues queuing. Actually leveled it solo long before all the great grinding spots were found, etc. Took forever. But it's nice to know that I can most likely level to 65 over a week (stretching out the power leveling from 2 days to 7 days).
