unplayable
/ʌnˈpleɪəbəl/
adjective
1.
not able to be played: an almost unplayable ball
2.
not able to be played on: unplayable pitches
I have tried at almost every hour possible even going online at 1am or 5am thinking that it was me but the same thing keeps happening with Tera/PC/NA while every other game has green light ( ironically, we will get events for dungeons but what dungeons can we clear with this kind of ping? ).
This has happened already for a few months but now it is so severe that the game became completely unplayable and in the past few days i have learned more about troubleshooting than i did in the past few years trying to fix it but nothing seems to work.
I returned after trying out the console beta and noticed it seemed to be better... for a while and at certain times of the day.
I do play from Australia, so it is never better then about 230ms, this is not that bad if your ping is stable, some classes are virtually unaffected by high (but still stable) ping like slayer. unfortunately I keep spiking to 600-800ms, even a slayer is unplayable with that sort of ping.
It seemed to be happening mostly around 7pm AEST and I thought, maybe it was my local network because it was happening when people would statistically be watching streaming services. On my mystic, the rotation is blast(reset)->blast(reset)->repeat(sometimes up to 10 times, no kidding)->blast(no reset)->smite etc and you have a steady rate of blasts usually, if my ping is jumping all over the place I notice that I will get fast and slow sequences of blasts as if the system is getting caught up. Your mystic will just stand there for a second or 2 doing nothing followed by 3 or 4 ultra fast blasts.
anyways... was thinking of trying to talk to my ISP or get a new modem, but is there nothing I can do?
do VPN services do anything for Aussies?
Try mudfish if possible. It's pay per data used so I just put 3 USD on my account and it's lasted me a while. Every time I use it to play tera, it costs me like .01 cents or something insignificant like that. It's helped with these issues when they get bad. I'm only recommending it because it's very cheap to try it out and see for yourself, and it worked in my case but I'm in North America and haven't checked if it has Aussie support.
I have someone that also recommended this one and i am looking forward to try it out.
I am from Europe/Spain and at FR it jumps from 78ms to another FR which has 170ms then the UK one which has almost 200ms?
Zayo, please xD
p.s. still unplayable with the ping jumping randomly to 8k ms
Try using WTFast it really helped my ping a lot. Let's just say on tera EU I was at 200 MS with WTFast I am at 50 ping now. IT costs 9.99 but its worth it. I tried it on tera NA earlier and my ping was back to normal
I am using PingZapper but i am looking forward to test and most likely use either WTFast or Mudfish since i am seeing a lot of recommendations for both.
I just go with the ping that I get from being on the west coast of OZ now and our 3 world crap internet , tho we are meant to get improvements soon with fiber and all
The best ping I ever see (without Mudfish) is 224 and it quickly jumps and keeps rising, Mudfish doesn't give me a better ping then this but amazingly keeps it at the lowest level possible no matter how long I am in game or what I am doing. Guardian missions would generally result in a ping of 400 to 600+, but it now stays at 224. I am no longer noticing random skill delay and also, when you enter guardian, there is this client freeze that occurs, it still happens but is a lot shorter. I am currently very impressed, but would like to ask (someone who knows only please) there is some speculation that the ping is somehow faked, is this even possible? I am looking at the clock in game, not what is reported by the Mudfish dashboard site (they are identical BTW). I am noticing the general playability seems to be improved, difficult to imagine how they could fake that.
have tried WTFast in the past, actually made my ping worse. never saw any benefit and stopped using.
experienced serious packet loss and had frequent disconnects.
at one point I was not even able to connect to the game at all, wouldn't even start up.
terrible payment method as well.
I also want to try out Mudfish since it seems that they have a very nice and well developed system.
Yeah, Mudfish seemed to be working before, but all day yesterday I was getting random spikes of 3k ping.
not sure, but I think it was Mudfish switching nodes. haven't thoroughly investigated.
I also thought I was noticing skill delay despite no indication of ping issues.
Skill delay is what I've been noticing a ton. For now I've just given up, game's not fun like this at all.
Tried solo on iod but irritating - too long and at the end not rewarding with such thinv
