Not everyone has time for sitting around and playing for item exp... time will vary drastically for everyone

Yeah but giving this gear just for not doing anything for 30 days may not feel fair for those who did work for it. I say this even though it would benefit me. I do have an alt account I haven't used since forever. If this becomes true, I'd at least claim it through that account.

Then again, the current Guardian looks like a fair first step for the current end game. Much better than the old Idoneal. I see no reason to give people something several tiers stronger as reward for NOT playing the game. A fair thing would have been to give returning players the ability to gear up an alt if they already have the gear on their main. But that would require more work and going through a few hoops to achieve, since it would be a per-account thing, while the current stuff is global and much easier to maintain and setup from a dev level.

Yes and even if you barely play getting the xp for frost is easy as hell. In fact, you don't even have to gather full xp since the chances on twist are so big anyway, you can bruteforce it easily without losing a lot of mats. You just need to play smart.

When I read the post, I took it to be something akin to the gearing path quests we see for early gear leveling--IoD introduction. Which leads you toward what you want with explanations made easier, but you still have to actually do it.

Everyone else, however, seems to have read the post differently. Is that because there is proof somewhere that the token flat out gives frostmetal gear? Is there a region where this is already happening?

Wouldn't be the first time I missed something, just curious.

I read it that way as well. I don't think they'll be handing out frost *just* like that and only to returning players, when some of the normal players have a hard time getting it lol

get frosmetal for casual player ( who only play 4 or 5 hours a week) is easy to get since
1.- you ned less mats ( and les golden talent ) and gold to enchant twistard
2.- you dont need full exp to enchant since is almost +90 % all time

the only reason why people say they dont have time or is hard to get is cuz they want fast, cheap, without do nothing and hype for leveling and get awakening skills the first day

If is true rip tera for a month people stop playing, and get frosmetal for free after inactivity, that saves tons of gold.

You can brute force full frostmetal in less than a week of playing efficiently...

I actually bruteforced to frost on the same day I hit 65 on my alt, cost around 30k in gold not including the mats, not so bad.

I can tell you right now I have 4 characters in Stormcry with my main being full +9 and I don't care if people want to stay logged out for 30 days for a set of free mid-tier gear. The fact is that playing for 30 days will get you more than Frostmetal+0 even if you're only playing on 1 character, so this is an extremely inefficient way to get full FM. If people think it's more valuable for them to just stay logged out for 30 days to get gear than to actually play then it's their choice. You can only use Returning Hero once per server per account last time I checked anyway so it's not like it's heavily exploitable.

If people genuinely believe that staying logged out and not playing is the best choice for them to progress in the game, then let them make that choice. It really doesn't hurt anyone.

But imagine if you have 5 characters to brute force frostmetal lol, will be too expensive without item xp. If is going to be free frostmetal x5 just for avoid playing a month it worths by a milestone.

We all have our opinions on the matter. What some believe is fair may not feel fair for others. I'm just stating what I see from my point of view. Not facts nor falsehood. Just my views. If you feel this doesn't affect you, then more power to you. But not everyone you know may share on it, so there's that. For now, I just want to see if it's true and where this all leads. Not that it will affect me much anyway. I'll still be a scrub even with highest tier perfect gear.

I brute forced 2 characters, a warrior and a berzerker, it cost 200k gold for both.
would love to find out how it's possible to do it for 30k

also, you can earn 5 to 10k an hour atm, but it requires you to grind content that is absolutely madness inducing.
you will completely loose your sanity long before you get frostmetal gear, try running guardian missions across a few alts.
I guarantee the tedium will break you, you'll be screaming obscenities at squirrels in no time.

Give it a few more hours and you will swear those very squirrels are yelling worse profanities back at you.

Last time I brute force a Twisthard set 0 into Frostmetal I spend 300k worth on gold and talents.

    @narkfestmojo @ElinUsagi
Did you guys do this before twist and guardians gold/mat values got nerfed?
Also my bad I didn't clarify, I only meant the raw gold used while enchanting, I didn't calculate golden talents in which I'm sure I didn't use over 800 but idr honestly.
