Last time for me was a Valkyrie not more than 2 weeks ago and I failed so many times on each try that I really would have love to no force my way with that character to Frostmetal. At the same time I was gearing up a Slayer and took me less than 50k gold farming exp on the gear.
Without 100% enchanting success Twisthard can fail as much as you can fail with Stormcry, however I had wasted several times similar amounts of gold/resources enchanting only one level on Stormcry piece (from +7 to +8), so I think is not that bad :,v
EME has rewarded players for afking at Highwatch. Ever heard of that event? No? Exactly.
If you don't understand, then it's best for people not to know about "that" event that happened way before on Highwatch.
The problem is not how much time need to upgrade problem is it's boring a lot
me and many ppl for sure we will prefer to play other games and return in 30 days than wasting time with a huge tedious grind
If you think it's boring to get to FM then you'll think it's boring to get to SC.
That means you think the game is boring. Maybe TERA isn't right for you.
And getting +0 frostmetal is extremely easy if you are an active player because the enchanting cost was lowered and you can even brute force if you are not willing to wait for the gear XP.
Also.. whoever went to do guardian legion missions with fresh characters did it wrong because IOD/Teraliths with a new character that is using slaying niveot is actually better because the money is almost the same per hour but you also get much better gear xp ( +60 per quest every 3/4minutes ) and you can also get enchanting materials plus etchings and glyphs ( i remember finishing a round of teraliths in 3-4minutes with my fresh priest that had +0 frost that was brute forced anyway just to test out the priest class on the fields ).
p.s. many players make and spend 40k on a normal day just to add 3% more on the gear
This just so you see how hypocrital is the attitude from some people.
I did this on my male brawler, had full frostmetal in a week, just getting my item xp to like 70 or 80 percent and going for it. Had a high percentage of enchanting successes and had mats stocked up, so it worked.
Not really. Getting exp on frost means, if you want to do dungeons at least, running Mid Tier like TR, KD, and LK. All of which are horrifically boring and tedious. Meanwhile, as soon as you are full frost, you can run BP/RM/RK9/SC, and of those, SC is the only one I really hate because of how boring it is, but at least it's easy.
That's the reason I don't play most of my twist alts (which, thankfully, I now have every class but two in Frost or SC so it doesn't matter as much now), because I haaaaaaate the three star dungeons. Meanwhile, RMN and RMH are some of my favorite dungeons in the game. It's not the game being boring, it's just that particular section of dungeons. At least in my case! I know other people may feel differently.
I have been playing for less then a month now, I have 5 characters in full frost, 1 in full stormcry and another I should get to full stormcry today (I want 27k xp first, right now at 25k) fortunately, I have more then enough resources to get it done.
in terms of boredom; I just don't like that there seems to be a lack of incentive to do harder content.
Recently I noticed a player forming a group for TRN and demanding stormcry only, he had SC+7 and TRN was the most advanced dungeon he was skilled in. Maybe I'm wrong, but the only content a farmer is going to target is ghilliglade, guardian missions and spamming 412 dungeons. I find this content boring and farming doesn't have to be boring.
It was Imperator +12 Weapon and +9 Armour for the Imperator gear. Though they did mix that one with an RNG chance to get a +15 scroll
The Gameforge levelling event that was really cheese was the one leading up to the gear revamp where you went straight to Ambush +14 (FM +0).
====
The biggest issue of this event is that it appears to rely on you not having played for 30 days prior to tomorrow on a server and the toon will get boosted to get item level 439 quicker, where someone might have logged in 2 weeks ago to work their way to it.
Of course, the lateness of the announcement, whilst it should not be surprising at this point, is something that the group that came back to prepare aren't going to be happy about because they don't get the boost.
I would argue that the players that took the time to gear up are in a better position to get through the Awakening Quest, because they have actually been playing, because it's a rough quest to do in FM +0.
===+
It's getting more and more frequent, very slowly but surely, just like it did on EU. It's a good way to bolster the numbers that appear to be playing.
Actually there is nothing to argue, at least in my opinion, because these kind of events should not be on Tera at all. Rewarding people into High tier gear for not playing the game is no the best way to get things done, as you said, it will make others that farmed the gear feel annoyed by that.
Frost is like, mid tier gear though. SC +0 would be high tier gear and sc+7-9 top tier. Getting to frost is also really cheap and easy (and convenient because of the 1.5 gear xp event that's on right now.......) after it was nerfed.
I'd be annoyed if they were giving out actual high tier gear but frost is the minimum that can get you pushed into most of the contet and you still won't have enough ilvl for high tier dungeons. Unlike before where you would need full misery (aka the mid tier gear) to get into VSH for example.
I'd argue that giving frost is not really smart because now we will have tons of inexperienced people running 439s but I'm certainly not annoyed because frost is "high tier".
