Archer - best way to gather and AoE them down?

Hey. I'm wondering what your theory is to gather bunch of groups while mounted and AoE them down. Any tips? I'm level 37

On my Sorc is was very easy. Still trying to find a good way. At low levels I'm sure anything will work but at 60+ I doubt it and need to be more strategic since those damn 60 mobs stun/knock you down every second

    What i do (on any class) is run infront of them on my mount until they aggro, picking up the mobs i want to gather then move to a spot and run around until they've all gathered.

    Once done, I place down some form on CC (Sorc is hailstorm, Archer is a trap of some kind) and then make distance between them and me before turning and murdering. Archers can drop Rain of Arrows on the group and then hit them with Pen arrow and/or Thunderbolt before following up with Rapid fire. Use Breakaway bolt to gain more distance + Damage if you need to

    gather up the mobs, use the close quarters kick (cant remember the name) to stun, breakaway bolt, ranged stun trap, rain of arrows, ranged explosion trap, pen/ rad arrow, rapid fire to pick off the last of them

    I didn't have much problems with gathering mobs on my archer back then, and I didn't even use much in the way of CC. Just gather by running circles around them, then pen arrow to their faces, usually from point blank range. Rain of Arrows is too slow pre-end game (gets better later after getting the speed cast glyphs), so that's best for bosses in a dungeon party or to start up against an unsuspecting bam. Regular stun and damage traps are a good alternative, but they may not pick everyone.

    You can also cast Rain Of Arrows facing a wall to have it land on top of you if you corner yourself too.

    Why bother? Just rapid fire everything till it dies.
    No one levels by killing packs of normal mobs these days, just spam dungeons or bams.

    True. The only place I use it is in Celestial Arena.

    Well you're still gathering large group of mobs in dungeons so it somewhat applies
