They aren’t trying to kill non-awakened classes hence the buffs they give. Those classes are still getting awakened just at a later date so they can push out awakening sooner.
  • To be honest awakening classes add more and more bored grinding , now if you wanna leveling a new character, you are force to get frostmetal in order to complete your character. Thats could be good or bad for new players. After hit 65 and when you wish to play a dugen oh surprise, old players going to start kicking non awakened players. Even in normal dugens. Best example toxicnous george. Also made leveling a new character more tedious.

TBH, none of what you just said is true at all.

Non-awakened classes are getting a ~30% dps buff. Sorc and gunner, are getting some pretty major buffs in addition to that. No one is going to kick anyone unless you terrible, and that's always been the case.

More grinding? Forced to get frostmetal? Frostmetal +0 is mid tier gear. It's the very baseline bottom metric for starting to do dungeons. It's like last patch's Misery gear (but with extra lines and that's good.) The patch has been out for ~7 months now. Older players should have *at least one char* in frostmetal. New players are getting a bonus help to get frostmetal, and even if you just started yesterday, it should take about a week of casual playing (less than 2 hours per day) to get frostmetal with the ability to do 16 VG's and 40 GL's.

Getting frostmetal is not hard. It's incredibly easy.

So that 30% buff? It applies additively to the damage lines that you get from your gear. It is effectively a 20% damage increase to your non-crit damage. I can quote the maths if you like.

I would actually say that it's a good idea to keep running with non-awakened classes becsuse they appear to have the AoE damage that will help you through Cruel Dreadspire.

Ok, so all information I found on EU:
    - 5 glyph points are added to awakened classes after completing the whole quest-line.
    - Each awakened class gets 1 superior glyph, there's only one so yeah...
    - No new dungeons are getting added, those are planned for future patch (probably soon)
    - Non awakened classes get ...~30% damage boost
    - THE QUEST-LINE IS A PAIN TO DO... especially as a healer. The mobs hit kind of hard and take a bit of damage to die, lol...
    - Still no talent system. :^(

Yup. Having played EU, you're pretty on point.

And the quest can hit pretty hard if you're in FM +0.
  • I've read the buff is more like 17 % to the classes left behind.

Because we have class changes way ahead where ktera buffed nonawakening classes passive twice.

I think this community needs to start appreciating that WE ARE GETTING CURRENT KTERA CLASS CHANGES.

I'm surprised nobody is making a comment about that or prasing Bluehole for giving us current class changes. They could have given the initial awakening release with no double class buffs for sorc and gunner and much more.

What the above said. It was 20% (17% effective) originally, but we got the full set of class buffs all in one go, hence the 30% (20% effective)

We'd get them eventually anyways, no need to praise Bluehole for shipping the build over to other regions when it's something they should do anyways. If BHS decided to stop sending class balances our way but balanced classes on their region and then balanced content around that yet sent same the same content our way then there would be issues, owait that already exists with the talent system.

Yes they could've given us the initial awakening patch but that is more work for them, BHS has always bundled multiple Korean patches to send out as a build to other regions so they don't have to keep sending extra builds over which requires a QA test each time, and most likely would actually start to increase the time we get content.

If BHS also decided to bundle in the dungeons with this build then it makes it even easier for GF/EmE/other regions since all they need to do is activate the teleporter for those dungeons whenever they're ready for release, although I don't feel like they bundled that much into the build it could always be a possibility.

We don't need to appreciate that we're getting game changes from KTera, because we should be getting those changes else what's the point of having outside regions rely on Korean development? If BHS stopped sending content to other regions they would no longer exist and would lower their profits, simple fact.
