What's this problem everyone seems to have with CH ?

I'll make it clear here despite the fact it's not going to solve anything...
It's not the first time I see people getting insulted ( me included ) simply cause they are from CH.
Everyone seems to think that people from CH can't pve , can't pvp , can't do anything apart from erping, right ?
Well...last news : CH is a pve server like another and you'll meet people good at running pve / pvp content like on any other server, so to those people discriminating everyone from this server, please quit behaving like kids and grow up.
I've been playing this game since 2012, been running the toughest instances , fighting in 3s / CS / FWC on any class and I never considered my server as a bad server nor myself as a bad player cause I'm from it.
Talking about roleplay / [filtered] : they exist in every game and on every server , CH is the official rp server but I don't get why it should be looked at with disgust cause of this. So, yea....I've seen people rping & erping on MT as on TR , CH isn't the only one, nor these ways to chill and have fun are to get demonized.
Do not insult a whole server cause of one person and do not insult that person before seeing how they play , there are awesome players everywhere as well as there are jerks.
I think The community should stop with this servers rivalry and start developing a sense of cosmopolitism, even cause all this doesn't make any sense ; insulting someone cause they are from another server , without even knowing that person....jeez...I can't say it's racism but we are getting close....it's like if I said that I don't like....Idk...Great Britain cause I don't like the queen..
You are all mature people , coming from all over the world, you are all different and yet all equals....I think that such easy concepts like "don't generalize" or "don't judge without knowing" are quite easy to get, aren't they ?

white chris, all the elins want to erping logun
  • Only some people have a "problem with Celestial Hills" - I think you may be the one generalizing here. Are you sure there wasn't another reason people called you out? Example: Wearing PvE crystals in a battleground where PvP crystals are probably best.

Just ignore the people that judge by server. Why should you care what they think?

White.Chris caused the problem with CH, TR, and HW. He has been spreading his toxic to three servers, so he get banned from Tera. Well from what his reason from what he said.

Doesn't matter where is born at. He caused a lot of [filtered].

As someone who's been playing this game since f2p - on three different servers, CH included - I would be more than inclined to agree with the fact that CH has always been god-awful at both PvE and PvP content as a whole. Aside from the select few in Frail Tragedy for PvE and sparse skill level in Masterwork waaaaay back since VM2 patch, CH has shown no signs of being adept at any mode of gameplay. But discrimination? That would imply that people generalizing about the server is hurting you some way. Unless you're actively getting kicked from every instance and battleground, honestly who cares? The fact that CH is an RP server just furthers the joke. Even a lot of CH players would be quick to admit CH isn't exactly a breeding ground for the best players and HW quickly developed a similar reputation along with being toxic. But if people are shittalking your server, just laugh it off. You might find joking about [filtered] a lot more satisfying than getting salty enough to complain about it on the forums.

OK going to get hate here but Proc>Frail Tragedy when it came to PvE. They pretty much shut Frail Tragedy out of CoF Mk IIIs as long as they had interest to do so. But honestly who cares, if people wanted to push Epeen they wouldn't be on CH, they go to MT. People come to CH to relax, to just have fun and not worry about all the competitive sides of a MMO. CH used to be renown for its community, we used to have server wide parties, with live DJs, Desire Square in Castanic would be packed with people just having fun and being social, that is what CH is about or used to be.

It is to some point racism(or maybe servercism?) cause we are from a certain server. The other day I ran cs with this nerd and the raid consisted mostly of CH players, well we lost and guess what, he said "ofc we lose, this is a CH raid after all"

Like seriously? How [filtered] dumb can you be to say that? I've been part of other full CH raids who have rekt MT raids. The server you are from has nothing to do with how skilled you are or not.

Most of MT hardcore pvpers weren't even from MT to begin with. They were from other servers and then transferred over to MT. So how can you categorize people from CH as shitters?

It was funny though, the leader sucked [filtered] and yet he blames CH players.
  • Appear to me that the most discriminated server is MT. I always see people trying to kick players from MT on CS, all the time.

@Ilythien Those are mostly trolls though, if you notice, they attempt to kick a player and the player never or almost never gets kicked.

CH isn't THAT bad at PVE. In the top PVE guild here currently and casually got 17.7k in SSHM today (with people dying), so it can't be all bad? I do agree with what you said that the average level seems to be lower than MT/TR, but it's still ok.

PvP I won't touch on, but there's more than a few people on CH who literally have no idea what crystals to queue for BG with, or that they shouldn't use PVE crystals.

Directed at the OP now, "everyone" doesn't have a problem with CH. I know people on MT/TR who happily run with people who transferred FROM CH. You say that not generalizing is easy, but that's exactly what you're doing. Stop generalizing just because a few asshats decided to wear their hat proudly.

That's mostly BRs from CH, but in general, it's every server. I myself have seen +15 players from MT using PVE at inners. And don't get me started on leaving inners empty, yes, MT players always do that, and then the crying starts when the inners leak.

I've noticed it too, but who cares? If they have a chip on their shoulder, let em struggle with it. I'm from CH, and have most of my characters there. Just like every server, there are skilled players and neophytes. As long as I'm having fun with my guild on my server, who cares what whoever from whatever server says. Not like it matters. I have people to clear content with, and can do really well with any lfg I join or start. So [filtered] em.

All these fools claiming (wrongfully) that they see people trying to kick MT/CH/whatever people from BGs don't seem to understand you cant tell what server someone's from until you kick them, and therefore they aren't being kicked from the bg just for being from MT/CH/whatever.

And even if you do know the person's server, chances are he's being kicked for being afk or being a douche or being a well known game-thrower and when he IS kicked it just happens to show his server as MT or CH. That just goes to show how active the populations are.

@Ilythien you've never seen someone being kicked from a BG just for being from MT.

    Nobody cares.

On topic, nobody (worth taking note of) has a problem with CH. Those who do, and there aren't many, aren't worth your time.

your name reminds me of someone i used to know, a priest that ended up in FT. she was god awful at the easiest of content (she once rage quit in KNX, good memories) and spent most of her time sitting on her Smolder mount that she got thanks to guild carry. anyway, just a funny little anecdote.

i've been playing on CH for years now and have seen the rise and fall of countless of guilds-- some of them huge and mostly talk, some of them actually able to bring to skill to the table, a lot of them pretty casual because CH has always been advertised as a casual server, by others and actual CHers themselves. The FT & MW era was a funny one, not cause either of them were good (i remember watching videos of Sasari do 3's, i wanted to shove glass in my eyes. nice guy though), but because the drama it brought to the server was lively-- alliance was nuts back then, at least in the beginning, before everyone just switched to EU and zzzz.

in my experience the players' worth their salt keep to themselves and you happen upon them if you get lucky, CH has never been the type to put themselves out their or advertise themselves very loud (unless it was for rp events). we still have some of our Mark I Queenslayers playing to this day, just chances are you wouldn't know unless you pried (possibly some Mark I Proraiders as well). though we're getting a bit more attention now maybe, as a few of our great PVE-ers are a part of Essentialmana.
further more, these days i spend a hell of a lot of time using IMS and, as everyone already probably knows, the general populace of this game is absolutely terrible at this game-- has nothing to do with server whatsoever.

but tl;dr at the end of the day people are so self-obsessed that can't ever imagine that they're the ones to blame so they will always find something else to throw it on, it's been trendy to blame CH players for as long as i've been playing (and before that too, i'm sure), really can't do much about it but ignore them. like Brinkle said, they aren't worth your time.
