Yet some people here on forums still denying it xD. "just turn lurid down it will run perfectly" xD SUUUUUUURE lol
  • I'v ran that dungeon 6 times and while i had FPS drops on this boss too it's never been as bad as that vid. My main problem is i keep getting spikes when he does his shield bash and he keeps nailing me with the guard break and that's pretty annoying.

He's still not as bad as Lilith, she usually crashes one or two people when she gets to low HP.

Frame rate in the Keep is pretty decent. Everyone I have gone into that dungeon with says they are constantly in the single frames as well.
  • Yup, the problem is when half the people in the forums (aka trolls/white knights) deny that it happens even though they know it does. All that does is ruin the chances that the devs actually acknowledge it as a important serious issue and it ruins the game. I have a lot of issues with this game anyway thought since seems to me the dev team has backwards priorities, but meh.
  • Little tip for you.

Ignore the jewelry farm dungeon (ie VoK) seeing as it’s broken. It’s been broken since years ago on pc, I always had to reset my pc before and after running it. Then they took it out of the game once new content hit, and I thought they took it out because they couldn’t fix it. They put it back in with some changes and it’s still laughably broken.

You don’t have to do it. You can farm bams for tokens and use those to buy jewelery.

I realize it’s bad but essentially the dungeon could be removed from the game. They can and should remove it, it’s just giving them a bad rep. It’s an old, old dungeon. The people who programmed it apparently left the company.
  • Also the drop table is god awful. I ran it..once. Got one piece of jewelry for the whole group.

I have enough tokens from farming bams to never set foot in that tainwreck again.

Dungeons that drop exclusive gear do not drop your frame rate anything like as bad as VoK.
  • The framerate drop is more a memory creep and/or heat issue. I've never seen that dungeon as bad as that video, I fear that dudes PS4/X1 needs a serious cleaning and needs to be shut down more often. you can start your console up, at least for us PS4 players. Load Tera, do VoK, and it will run relatively fine. After some time, however, coding kinda causes memory creep... thus dropping FPS, not just in dungeons but everywhere. Anyone who knows anything about this specific kind of issue knows exactly whats wrong. It's not the dungeon itself, it's the coding behind it, and sometimes... for the worst FPS drops... a heating issue. This game runs rather hot due to how resource extensive it is. WHen running VoK, I do lower the graphics... but not because it's an FPS issue but more to just optimize... old pc habit. However, since I placed my PS4 on its side, and set a fan beside it VoK has ran much more smoothly, oh and cleaned out the air vents... that helped much more than either of those. Velika and Highwatch however... still lags. A lot. Mainly due to how many are there at one time.

i thought you were the guy who left the game a few days ago to go back to FFXIV, you make comments and posts nearly everyday bashing how bad Tera is and then saying how much better FFXIV is, yet you still come back and play Tera, funny that

I can just give you again this tip, because i don´t have those frame rate drops anymore since almost a week now:

Options -> Display -> Set both settings to lowest
Options -> Game -> Scroll down to the six simplify options, set ALL to ON.

I play with a PS4 Slim and don´t have those huge fps drops anymore since i settet up like this. I do the same dungeons as you and all others also.

It seems like the game can´t handle so many effects and the highest lurid effects over a longer time, thus it seems to run better if you set up like explained.

Going to the forums to keep active isn't "playing tera" i havent played tera for a while now. It's like the millionth time ive had to tell some [filtered] those two are different things and just because im not playing tera doesn't mean i have to leave the forums. MAAAAn some people on here are like pure retards lol. Keep your white knight crap out of legitimate threads.

I have a brand new ps4 pro and i had basically the same framerate issue as this guy just as bad too. I had lurid and graphics all the way down in game. Also i know for a fact its not the ps4 because my ps4 runs ffxiv perfectly with none of these issues whatsoever. When you compare them it pretty much shows that it is the game that is the issue. If it was the ps4 the person would probably have issues on many other games too. Simple troubleshooting really. Common sense honestly.
  • I had lurid and graphics all the way down in game.

In addition go to Options -> Game -> Scroll down to Simplify options and set all 6 to ON.

THIS actually solved the fps problem for me. Playing kinda smooth since that and i do a lot of dungeons and stuff.

This is my worst PS4 Slim(!) performance for dungeons currently with my new setting:

Do you also want a video from whole Kaprima run? Runs damn fluent for me.

Lilith runs fine for me too. You're point? Show me a kaprima video where all those traps and sh*t are not making your framerate tank and EVEN THEN it won't make a difference because their are MANY people out there with issues. Just because some people don't have issues doesn't invalidate the others who have to deal with the crap optimization of the game. Also you should have showed a kaprima run in the first place since lilith is a completely different dungeon and my issues are mainly shown in kaprima. Trying to invalidate real issues with the game others have to deal with simply because your experience is different is a stupid and incorrect thing to do because it makes the devs think it's okay to leave their game in such a sad state. To quote another post from another thread that actually has common sense and logic put into it:

When people praise a game that truly has serious issues all it does it make things worse because it misleads the teams that build it and makes them think they are doing a good job when infact they are not and need to get in gear and fix it. From my perspective it is people like you who are the trolls and toxic people. Some of us state genuine concerns in hopes the devs get to fixing it. It's how debugging a game works. Not that these bugs should be here still since a lot of this stuff was stated in the obt, but i guess enmasse really wanted to start the cashgrab before actually getting all the kinks worked out.

I'm in agreement with most of what you have to say unlike others. To me, another issue here is the old school thinking of "this is how MMOs are" that is a real problem. Years of people being spoonfed nonsense that because MMOs are larger in scope they are harder to release without major issues. No most of the issues lie in the fact that dev's change at the studio, dev's dont comment their code properly for easy fixes later, devs are rushed, etc. None of that is the users issue. Thats on the company selling us unpolished products.

When your players say things like "everyone knows that dungeon crashes alot so do this to get what you need instead" your game has issues. Functionality issues are big and I've already seen most of the people I started this game with leave because of the performance issues in game. When you can't get auto-login shut off how can a player believe you can fix real issues?

God forbid I went to the movies and every 10 minutes the sound cut out for 15 seconds. I'm sure most of the people making apologies for this games issues would be demanding a refund from that theater. We're so quick to forgive devs for bad game performance but what if your console crashed every 30 minutes every day? Oh but at least its fun to play on when it's working? I doubt people would say that.

Why shouldn't we hold developers to the same basic standards of quality that we hold other industries to? Because it's hard to do it right? I'm sorry, that's the job.
