Make leveling harder.

Leveling has become way to easy. Especially so for low levels even under level twenty. Leveling is going extremely way to fast. Tooooo much experience points are being rewarded. This is bad very bad. You are not able to do everything in an area because of leveling way to fast.

For a new player to come to come to this game. No. This is very bad if they want to explore and experience the good stuff of tera. I'm serious Enmasse.. Leveling is extremely way to fast. It is unbelievably fast.

I heard a suggestion on old forum. Someone suggested that release a new server with pre Fate or Arun or something. No new classes and normal level progression. Maybe on the new server, they will provide a limited - free server transfer when you first hit lvl65.
  • wasnt there just a level up event where the xp gain is doubled?

Exp events are so common that now is rare to play the game in "normal exp mode".

Totally. I mean, I'm think partially, what's the point in playing the game if it goes by so fast?; then another part of me is like, remain hopeful perhaps soon something will give. Way to many rewards are being given out, to much experience, leveling too fast, zero exploration. For me Where I stand at the moment is like what Toires stated on my other thread. At this point honestly, things are so easy for a solo player that it is actually pointless to party in truth. The points that can be said are endless. I just wish for once, that the focus would not be specific to end game content players. I have at least 2 characters on every server and main on VoT with about 7. I try all these servers to see if there is any difference and there isn't. Just some have less idiotic drama speech versus others, more mature behavior for the game. Anyway, I may just start making video compilations for a thread of Title: wtf is this? why is this here? Is this broken? Did someone forget? What are the plans for this particular thing? I could go on and on. I mean, I don't mean to rant at all but my goodness. I remember when I first started to play this game about a year or so ago, when I first started with a warrior, Gunner was still new and the reaper was the fad of pkr's all over. I hated the reaper then. All the level 65's in lumbertown for what reason I have no idea the fact remains they were there. For no other reason but to pk fresh level players, maybe farm by the daily quest as it pops up. I'm clueless.
However, I remember I could do all of the zone quest, all of the story quest in one particular area, and still had time with one more level to farm for either fod or for gathering materials. It was appreciated for this to be that difficult. But it's like, everything but lvl 65 is practically forgotten but at the same time they aren't. It's almost as if the prime goal is level to 65 grind for the sky and be the best. That's it.

What about the rest of the game? Acheivements, Alliance Territory conflicts. I mean this game is soo big that you would think that the creators would focus to one thing to update before expanding into other ideas. Now looks IoD a dead zone except for VG dailies which I don't really see a whole lot of people doing to be honest. Perhaps it's an intended zone for those that can't dungeon end game and survive, but solo bams? I have no idea the thought behind this. What is next? Will Lumbertown be destroyed next? One may think it might as dead as it is. As dead as it has become.

Right now I expect at this rate of things not being fixed that Level 70 may end up being our new max level soon. The Argon's Strike back.

lol Just joshing there, but really. I won't a more challenging game were you are more or less forced to party with people because of how hard it is. Even for low levels. Hell even Stepstone Isle is a little easier than it should be.

Now I'm babbleing way too much. My bad folks, I just had to vent.

    Here's the thing...

Before the avatar weapons and what not, it took me a month of grinding to 60. We're talking, at the very least, 2 hours a day, every day of the week. Finding a party for Kelsaik's Nest to just clear it for the Quests? Wipe after wipe, and then finally it was smooth sailing! Island of Dawn? Took me 3-4 hours to do when with someone.
And I loved it. Because it made me learn my skills. Made me learn mechanics. Made me explore.

    And now?
You can skip quests, skip areas, skip Q until you hit 60. You need 1-3 people in a party to clear a dungeon easily now. And leveling? You can spend 20 hours, even if that for some people, to hit 65. This game has made it far too easily to level up. You miss out on so much, and that's where the game took the turn to where it's not as fun.

    In my opinion.

I agree. This is my point.
  • So level slow. Do the questlines. So what if you overlevel a dungeon, you can easily find a party most of the time. On my first character I went and meticulously finished every story quest, as well as some yellow ones. I personally enjoy being able to skip that with my other characters if I just want to get to 65 quickly.

Those who are complaining about not exploring enough just aren't taking the time to do so.
  • JBGamingJBGaming ✭✭✭
Oh lord you just don't get it. Let me break it to you this way.

THE EXPERIENCE POINT VALUE AFTER A QUEST IS TOOOOOO MUCH. YOU CAN'T LEVEL SLOW. Don't speak unless you have a clue please really.
  • Alright, so maybe you can't LEVEL slow, but you can still take the story slow and enjoy it as you level up. No need to be rude about it.

I might like it to be slowed for new players, so they can get the time needed to learn to play. Because now, we're getting 65s who don't know about things like proper crystal usage.
  • dinnersdinners ✭✭✭
Just delete all low lvl contents from the game. Make all class as like reaper. Teach them how to use basic skills and start at lvl 60.

Noobs are not going to learn about crystals, scroll, nost, charm, cyrstal bind until they get kicked by another party member at lvl 65 anyway.

I agree with this. This is a good idea. This is also very true about them not knowing unless they have good mentors. To many guides out there these days are all about end game builds. There is nothing out there to really teach the low level and fresh to the game player. Why this is I have no idea. These days we have people saying. "Don't do that it's not worth it." This includes crafting which is a beneficial part of the game. I had to learn a lot of things on my own because there was no one their to guide me.

There's going to be a new server?

  • The last character I made I decided to level by doing every quest I came across never queuing for dungeons and so far I am level 35 and still doing level 24 quests. You can rush to level 65 in under 4 hours if you try hard enough. I feel like they need to make an option where you don't level until you have completed a certain story quest, that way you only level when needed.
  • JBGamingJBGaming ✭✭✭
A lot of games have a feature like that. You choose when to level up, and when to get that new skill. This maybe why things are done this way, Tooo many games are like that. Just like a lot of games are this way also. It would be nice if the game was more Lore interactive, kind of like a page by number book deciding your characters final outcome between good and evil. It's hard to tell what their idea actually was when they made the game.
