Yellow quest markers?

I can't see any yellow quest markers either on the map or on the npc's that give them so I basically have to talk to every npc to see if they have a quest.

Is there any way to enable those markers?

  • Ya it is in options and turned off by default. They really aren't worth doing though.
  • Most of them are on the way to red quests anyway so its just free xp and gold since you will grind those mobs either way.

XP is the easiest part in this game, as for the "gold" I don't its worth doing sooooooo many yellow quests for the amount of gold they reward.

Its really not worth the time or effort to do yellow quests. Just do the red ones and bgs/dungeons way faster to level that way. You get more gold from the red ones than doing like 100 yellow ones. Also get more gold from the vanguard quests and dungeon bosses than the yellow quests. It is just flat out a waste of time. They aren't even fun or interesting mostly kill or collect quests. I leveled one char to 60 just doing bams and bg/dungeons it was pretty quick. You out level the red quests so fast on the way to 60 you probably will only be able to do 2 or 3 at best.
  • some people just like to do all the quests and don't care about leveling quickly. i have a friend that i played WoW with and he would take forever leveling because he likes to do every quest in every area. I'd harass him about not even getting any xp for them lol but all that really matters is that your having fun, it is just a game after all.

I did all the red quests, but doing all yellows is just TOO much.

I like to do that too. Used to get stuck in gray zones for ages because of that.

On the bright side, WoW now has scaling for all zones so we can quest as much as we want and still get full xp and hit 60 in the Barrens. ^^
  • I agree they're a waste of time, at least befor 50+ . The vanguard request dailies are much better experience and gold and are usually mobs or gathers corresponding to quest objectives, unless you out-level the quests too far. Luckily you can teleport to VRs via the VR tab
  • Some of the yellows give you rep xp. So they are worth doing as they will get you to friendly if you have elite.

I like learning more about the story and lore. its why i do the yellow ones. I also get to see alot of the map map too
  • Yellow quest exist, because the game were pay to play in the original years, even when becomes ft2p model, yellow quest still working, but if you wanna leveling from level 1 to level 11 may took 8 hours, and to reach level 40 almost a month. So game were epic bored to play and money fly away, so they decided, just made yellow quest irrelevants.
  • If you want the black panther mount, you need to grind them for reput.
