Endgame armor sets?
What’s the highest tier available at the moment? As far as I can see based on the dungeon list it looks like tier 10 guile or am I missing something?

Ambush (and Imperator) are only obtainable via crafting (requires 0 skill, anyone can do it as long as they have the design (that drops very rarely)) and requires materials from various Top tier dungeons and the battleground shop (Currently the only source of Lady's Hankerchief's which drops in RMH, the hardest of the patch which console currently doesn't have cause reasons). The amount of mats are the same for every class and only differ based on piece of equipment and should be easily google-able (or go into your crafting list > Show all > Find the gear...if you can do this on console, haven't checked). The benefits of Ambush (and Imperator) is that they have 5 lines of rerollable stats on their chest and weapon along with a flat 3% damage bonus on the gloves as well as the ability to enchant to +15 (and gain fancy wings)

Are the designs for ambush and imperator from 410 and 417 dungeons? I only see the imperator belt listed as a possible loot option from 417s with ambush nowhere to be found
Yes. The designs are never listed and they have a low drop rate from Mid-high tier dungeons (410-417). When a design drops, it can literally be for any class and any piece of gear and it's automatically rolled for. They're also tradable but since console market is new, expect them to be very expensive (At least until Console releases Broken prison as that dungeon drops 1 design per boss. 1 Imperator design for Boss 1 and 2 and 1 Ambush design for the last boss)

The crafted one is not worth it. A new tier will come to new dungeons and i imagine it will become easier to obtain then.
Honestly, Guile is enough of a pain by itself...
Deathwrack will be exactly the same as Ambush, obtained and enchanted in the same way (except Tier 12 feed over 11) and has the same bonuses, just abit more attack stat and defense.
The addition benefit of these two sets, is that when the gear revamp finally comes (Rumors of 8months), Ambush +15 turns into Frostmetal+7 (Very close to the final tier) and Deathwrack + 15 turns into Stormcry+2 (Final tier gear, only needs to be enchanted to +9) while Guile turns into nothing and Misery (the next guile) only turns into Twistshard+0 (Mid tier gear).
Yes it's a hassle to get, but it's worth it in the end. Just wait until Broken prison hits (Might be soon as it came with Warrior revamp for PC so should come nearby that period but we'll see) and designs will be like candy, just farming the mats which is the grindy bit (And you don't even get Battleground credits to help you with Deathwrack)
for additional help with Mats, Kumas boxes (Yes, that place) should often contain the current VM mats inside of them. Many people on PC managed to get Deathwrack Day 1 (or whenever they got their designs) due to hording Kumas boxes for the entire patch cycle and opened them on the new cycle and with a bit of good RNG, it fulfilled all the mats for at least 1 piece of gear....better RNG filled out the whole set
Basically, you have the same progression as PvE gear. However, you also have an option of getting a cheap budget set called Conflate (obtained using PvP credits) which is worse than Ambush +15, but it's very cheap and efficient for the cost.

Where would I be getting my sets though? Is there a list somewhere of each tier by name or where I should start and end up at 65?
I imagine the 417 dungeons are even more difficult and it looks like it's the only way to get materials for Ambush. So I'm not gonna stress getting it. I've never been the type that has to have BiS gear anyway, so it's all good. I find when I start stressing about getting the best gear in MMOs, it kills the enjoyment for me. So I'll get what I'm able to, and that's that
And btw for PvP there are also PvP Attack and PvP Def Crystals for accessoires.
