Ideally you don't want a system that generates new gold. (This is why I don't agree with the gem bags, although they also have a direct use for enchanting, so they've made it more muddy now.) The system there is now of trading cash shop items with other players is better because it allows those F2P players access to cash shop items. If you had a way for people to just buy gold directly, it'd be harder for F2P players to get those cash shop items without paying themselves.
> what if eme sold gold vouchers to use in the game that were tradable? wouldn't that slow or stop the gold spammers? it wouldn't be buy to win, so I wouldn't see a problem with it. I thought they should have had something like that a long time ago. if people are going to spend real money for the gold spammers to have gold, then they shouldn't have a problem buying gold vouchers from the tera store.
Wtf no, that would just make people not want to sell emp and f2p players would be getting shafted.
Emp selling is basically gold buying, what more do you want. Gem boxes [filtered] us over already.
If new players are more aware of the situation maybe gold sellers will become less frequent
Gold vouchers would not change anything because these sellers would offer low rates then these vouchers. That's what they already do with the current emp ratio to gold making it more attractive to get more for your money.
We already have EMP to gold exchanges between players. This keeps try hard f2p players who can amass in game gold happy because they can buy cash shop items the users who pay real money buy. It may not be perfect, but it doesn't exclude f2p people. Though I do agree the best way to shoo off gold sellers is to make it so not worth to sell here they have to leave. The problem is finding how without affecting the current economy.
not a bad idea, but make it pop up everyday like the guild chat message of the day. that way no one would have an excuse that they never saw it. cause lets face it, how many people actually read the help screen recommending the crystal set up.
You yourself posted the caveat to it. Nobody reads...

I know is not the best way but given the tools those gold sellers have if you block them they are not certain if you have done so. I think.
Or tell them if they want to buy gold with real money, just sell elite vouchers or EMP.
I mean, is logical that they have to ban them. This will not only be beneficial for players, but also for them as a company: Gold sellers are basically, scammers, they want your credit card info, and by banning them, EME would be protecting the players, and saving themselves from endless complain tickets that will surely flood the Support Team.
That being said, if you ban one, 2 appear. Best course of action would be to have the support team dedicate some time to finding the gold seller IP address, and banning it completely.
My block list is full of gold sellers and i cannot block more
If account on games where bound to some kind of personal ID then that would be easier to minimize these kind of black market but because some countries want to have those privacy info bull [filtered] this has become and end-less war in wester markets were these people always wins because the laws protect them from being identified.
Pretty nasty way to take advantages from holes in the legal systems u_u
