How to gain more crit factor? (50+75)

I'm playing on a sorc, currently 413 IL and for the life of me am confused on how to raise my crit factor. I'm reading online and seeing people say They're at 60 (+250-320) and I just can't see how that's possible. At 50 (+75) I'm just not doing the damage I feel I should.

I have a full +12 guile set, and I have my full T10 set obtained just waiting for me to gather T10 feedstock to enchant. What am I missing? :(

  • I have 4 Keen Vyrsk crystals on all my jewelry as well. (+6 factor each) I should add.

Crit stat rolls on gear? Crit stats jewelry? Crit stats brooch? Crit stats innerwear?
  • You can roll crit on pretty much anything but be aware that each class needs a different amount of crit. Zerk needs the most at about +300... Maybe more.

Can you be more specific? Do you have a source for how much crit rating each class needs?
This game makes gearing a complete mess. It doesn't even say what this crit rating translates to. I wish i knew what my crit % is.
  • I don't see how your crit can be that low did you just stack power?

The critrate you can see in your character window decides if your hit is critical and give you bonus dmg from your +critdmg stats. The higher the value the higher your chance. There are hard caps (stacking +10000 crit won't give you 100% critchance) and soft caps (+10 critrate from base value is worth more than +10 critrate from 350) for critrate and also many skills alter the critrate with multipliers or 100% crit chance.

    Following informations without guarantee:

    Valk: +60 crit factor
    Warrior: +260 cf
    Gunner: +150 cf
Archer: +250 cf edit: 2250 is a bit to much ^^
    Ninja: +300 cf
    Zerk: +330
    Mystic: +260 cf with aura
    Brawler: +260 cf
    Slayer: +330 cf
    Lancer: +270 cf
    Reaper: +300 cf
    Sorc: +300 cf

Took the infos from another thread but the numbers looking good enough for me and I played all classes over the years. Remember that these stats can change depending on patches and class overhaul.

Thanks, that is useful information. It's just sad that the game doesn't make a better job at telling us how the stats scale.
Hmm... no priest in the list though.

My power is 65 +153 right now. I'm honestly just in a black hole when it comes to getting my gear done up properly lol. I'm usually extremely good at these games, but the gearing on here kinda looses me a bit.

Here's what I have right now on my gear total, if anywhere on it reads that I'm receiving any crit factor at all I'll list it:

    1. 0 crit factor on my earrings. All i get when using semi-enigmatic scrolls on them is 22 or more crit RESIST factor.

    2. Broach has a total of 10 factor.

    3. Weapon (slyeye+12) has +14 factor total.

    4. Necklace 0 factor, only gets RESIST factor it seems when I try to change it.

    5. Rings have +2 factor each

    6. Underarmor has +4 factor.

    7. Boots 0 crit factor.

    8. Gloves +21 crit factor.

    9. Chest 0 crit factor.

Can the chest, boots, and necklace even get crit factor? I haven't had any luck :(.

Again to everyone, sorry if I'm coming off a bit noobish on this topic. Just it kinda throes me in a loop lol

My last comment listed what I currently have. Do I just need to keep trying with spellbinds and scrolls?

I also noticed there's the base stats the gear drops with. Are those changeable in any way? Do they all drop the same? Or do you have to keep farming the same piece of gear and hope for crit factor on its "hard" stats?

That may be my problem if so. Since all my stats ABOVE my changeable "+3, +6, +9" stats are power, RESIST factor, and a lot of other stuff like PvP attack.

And etchings maybe? Do I need to get perminant crit etchings? Which I notice are expensive lol

I agree, very useful information! Now just to get the numbers up...lol
  • I'm playing slayer and I only have around +150 cf. There's no way to even get close to 330.
I think the highest I could get to, is around +200-230.

Get crit jewelry and whatever you do, don't roll crit factor on your weapon
  • Id prioritize crit over power until you are at a decent level because if you aren't critting you aren't doing damage
  • you may want to look at the glyphs on your skills as they can also provide crit boosts
  • > @TalDigi said:

I have both glyphs that provide a 3-5 second x2 to crit factor when cast. But like I said people say you want to have 280-310 crit factor unbuffed, as a base line. Which is where I get lost. When re-rolling gear you can't even get a lot of factor per piece so mathematically it just doesn't add up to me.
