Since i keep seeing this pop up... Do people not know cross server lfg already existed for a few years at that it should be noticable when you kick like say a afker for too long it will show Usernamed from This Server will be kick do you agree. Even if youre playing with a player from a diff server it has a * by their name and you cant trade them anything like a potion within the dgn.

for reference if i ever see this kick message pop up again i'll post a screenie of it

That's not a cross server LFG, that is Instance Matching, where you will get random players in your party.

yeah i just figured it out after someone else explained ti to me i havnt seen actual LFGs been used other than selling emp so completely forgot about it. But then thatd kinda defeat the point of having more than one server. Not only that but with the issue of finding parties will mos likly still stand if we take in fact that the person possible already did their runs or have a static or guild for dgns. A sever merge would just be a pain in the [filtered].
Altho I think there should be a free server transfer for a time

That actually doesnt kills the need for more servers, because servers can hadle a limit of players on-line after all.

A cross server LFG can help people to not feel that the game is empty (specially those who are playing far from peak hours).

You know, I literally just had this thought:

Do you think people are having a hard time gathering parties not so much because of population density - or the lack thereof - but maybe because people may not feel like playing at that point in time?

I know, it's crazy, but it still makes you think...

That is 100% true and as a (now quite inactive) AV player I may say that some dead moments from MT/TR screenshots are IDENTICAL to random dead moments on AV as well, and you see the random 1~2 LFGs at those times. It's during that "NA Prime time" that you see the big difference, with a population that was kinda averaged through the entire day, same people count at any moment.

Now tho, it's also pretty logical to assume that if a set percentage of people are just not wiling to play at a given moment on any server, then there's also a bigger total sum of people wiling to play at that given moment on a more populated server.

I get the point tho that it just may be that some servers being different than others in both atmosphere or other conditions like a specific non-NA community of players deciding to take that server as their home, would change entirely the prime time of that server. As I mentioned AV being very spread around, and well, it also does have STILL some quite big Brazilian guilds. Reminder that we're on GMT -3, so this would obviously change our normal off work times.

? I dont think you get what i mean im nto askig for more servers or saying its killing the need for more im just saying it seems pointless cause tera as a whole isnt one big mega server so the issue with finding a party may still stand.

I'm thinking your the one not understanding what others are saying as a cross server LFG can help people to not feel that the game is empty (specially those who are playing far from peak hours).
in sense partially making it one server for finding partys for LFG groups whilst no one actually changes servers permanently they party together then return to their server

because if eme responded to every server merge or name wipe post, they would never be able to do anything for the game due to always answering these posts. they have touched on this last year and said no server merges anytime soon, same goes for the name wipes. there are too many factors involved in server merges to deal with before they could attempt it again. names, character slots, bank and wardrobe tabs, rare items that people got years ago, merged server stability, and don't forget the precious economy.

Most likely the ones doing most of the LFGing are the elite pricks that no one wants to play with. They've ticked off most of the player base on the server, so their LFG's get ignored. Hence why they think a server merge is good for them, because it means ignorant victims they can torment and ridicule.

At least that's what it mainly is on my server.

Are they such a big population that it affects LFG so much?

  • tera needs to merge the servers
for more fun it is sad to be in an empty server

I should also add, that if ya got the money, you could always do a server transfer. No need for merging in any case since there is already a solution for this. And yes I know, the transfers cost money but still. The answer to your needs has always been there the entire time~ Since EME already has a way for you to remedy your need for more activity and the like, there truly is no point in merging after all that's said and done.

Toxic elitist people are everywhere and on all servers. But this doesn't change the fact that some servers are just less populated that others.

So people left/quit the game because EME/BHS failed to maintain the game properly. This left some servers less active than others. So you are proposing that the remaining players on the inactive servers be punished for this?

Oi!! Where on Earth did I say anyone should be punished? Don't be twisting people's words and their intents behind what they say, thanks. I was just pointing out the facts, one of the facts being that there is a solution right there in front of them if they wish to do so. Nobody is forcing anyone to do this. And honestly, those who left the game did so of their own volition. EME holds no responsibility for what people choose to do. EME can only do so much and they get enough flak as it is without people complaining about yet another thing that actually doesn't need changing. So let's all cut them some slack maybe? Cheese and rice ...

but..but...eme should give us what we want , when we want it...name wipes, better yet give me the name I want and take it from someone that has been playing since the beginning, also all my friends left the server I was playing on and I hear that there are more people on xyz server, so eme needs to transfer me and all of my items to that server for free, because I want it, and I deserve it. if they don't, I will hold my breath until I pass out.
eme has done server merges and merged a few into one and the one is one of the lowest populated servers. what happens many times, is that people switch servers cause some of their friends joined tera and started on that server, sometimes, they switch over to get titles.
I would love to see eme come on here and tell people that there will be no more server merges and whichever server you are on, you stay or you pay. sad thing is , many of the ones always crying about merges, name wipes and so on are adults. like my dad's age adults, crying about not getting their way. its so sad.
