  • So... Purple scarf that doesn't fit any of my costumes and generally has nothing to do with my character. That's... nice?
Sure it's only HP/MP, but everything takes its start somewhere. Stuff like this should be dyeable at least, otherwise it's just so dumb.

So again, while minor at the moment, please think about any future additions to this practice.

I don't want to be cynical but this feels like a "toe into the water" scheme to me to test player reaction to stats on cosmetics.

I really hope this doest happen and if it does that is the last time we see stats on cosmetics.

If it’s hp/mp who the [filtered] cares?
That's my goal. To have it known and stopped at the start before it becomes too big to control. As I said before, it may not a big deal now, but if it's allowed through silence, the devs might think they can throw more of it, and before long, we might have both a p2w model and even more elitism. And in that way, everyone (playerbase and game creators and publishers) will lose.

There is also an awesome free sixth anniversary scarf that will not be sold but everyone will have lots of opportunities to obtain (and PS... it has STATS!).

That actually worries me. More chance items with stats. I personally believe it's a bad idea... Sure, I can assume the boost may be pretty minor, but a few drops of water here and there are all it takes to overfill the glass. We already have mounts with stat boosts that not everyone can get due to bad luck, so the game has already started to tip towards the lucky and the uber rich.

So again, while minor at the moment, please think about any future additions to this practice.

pretty minor complaint for miss aniversary event

  • It's Hp/Mp regen so all you ppl going all postal, just need to calm down it's not that serious. Also if Bluehole wants to ad stats to cosmetics in the future there isn't a damn thing you can do about, so stop whining about something that may or may-not happen. So whatever Bluehole's big picture plan for their game is in the future, you opinion as a player in N/A is totally irrelevant to them. So instead of whining about it in the forums, you need to just man-up and deal with it or quit, because those are the only 2 options you got
  • be grateful that they are giving them as a free item in game and not a crap loot box via emp

This is the exact mentality that both kills games and the mentality that corporate heads love from their customers. I respect your point, but I can't for the life of me agree to it one bit. Sorry. And the whole "or quit" thing? Much worse. Not how customers should handle products. This just generates lack of competition, lack of company improvement and also fosters stagnant monopolies. Not good for World progress at all.

Dear god please don't distribute stat cosmetics in NA. Eme, can you see the concern of the players here?

I can't be sure but the scarf with stats is probably something like this (this is TW's version of the scarf)

Not anywhere close to gamebreaking tbh, and the publishers have yet to release any other cosmetics with stats in the 1.5 years I've played there (at least to my knowledge). The same probably goes for KR's version, so if it's any consolation, it won't be such a big deal in NA anyway.

Oh please. Just release some uber expensive item that we can buy that will equate to a full set of Stormcry +9 already. You know you want to. Give people something to spend their 12000 EMP on. I will work my lemonade stand all summer just to buy it.

Don't make it a purpler scarf either. Make it like orange or black stripes. You know, something that will really hurt the eyes. I can't think of any outfits that match purple, so matching isn't an issue here. Just something that really stands out and lets others know I paid to win with a smile on my face.

Oh, and please make sure everything temporary from this month is discardable. That way, it won't clog up my inventory or bank. Thank you :)

For people worried about the "stats" as posted earlier it's just a very tiny amount of HP and MP on the scarf, and this scarf has existed for a year since KTera celebrated their 6th anniversary already, it isn't anything new.

Yes there obviously is still the chance BHS does add in more cosmetics with stats but so far they haven't done so in the past year, also EmE can't remove the stats from the item since BHS has designed it this way and they haven't designed any other 6th Anniversary items so this is about all EmE has to work with.

And this is why I insist people to be on alert. As far as we keep vocal opposition of larger stat buffs, things like this one can pass around and BHS will limit what they do with them. My worry is not about 100 MP and 200 HP. It's about a possibility of seeing this one day, and if we stay silent about it, the next one will bring a buff to power, or crit factor. And people will say "It's just +8 crit factor." And over time the buffs keep increasing. THAT's what we need to watch out for now, in the earliest stage.

I know I'm doomtalking, and I personally don't like it, but there are some things I believe must be dealt with as early as possible.

Costumes with stats is a terrible idea. I know it's very minor for now, but as mentioned before they will probably slowly increase the bonuses in the future so whiteknights can say "but it's just a small improvement over what we had before".

Closers has costumes with stats and that's one of the things that made me stop playing it. The whole idea of costumes was to let ppl look whatever they want, even if pretty outfit has worse stats.

If they want to sell bonus stats they can just add another invisible gear slot like they did with belts and circlets. Ppl who are completionists would spend several SES just to roll 1 bonus endurance.

This is a very slippery slope towards more relevant stats being on cosmetics, I'm having flashbacks from a game called 'Dragon Nest' where your costumes gave you the same amount of progression as the best end game gear. Saying "it's only hp/mp no big deal" is a dangerous outlook and only enables devs and publishers.

Statistics and Cosmetics should ALWAYS stay independent of each other.
