Running dungeons with two players possible?

Hello!

Me and my boyfriend are considering playing TERA together and have, in other games, really enjoyed running dungeons together - just the two of us. Is it possible to complete level-appropriate dungeons with any of the class combinations on TERA?

Thank you in advance!

Although it's technically possible, while levelling, to clear dungeons with only 2 players, "with any class combination" would be a bit of stretch. There's not really any way to consistently heal yourself without having a healer in the party, especially as a new player without access to some of the potions you obtain almost solely in endgame.

Top that off with the fact that most bosses will hit pretty hard and most DPS classes have limited mobility/i-frames prior to 65, you'll likely die many, many times before the final boss without a healer/tank.

You could run a healer/tank setup, in which case I can guarantee you can clear all the content from 1-64 with only 2 players, although it may be rather slow.

However once you reach endgame at 65, you're definitely not going to be doing any dungeons 2-man, while some of the 65 dungeons can be solo/duo'd, it's mostly only ever done for fun, by really geared players.
It would be practically impossible for 2 new players to duo level 65 dungeons, and it would be entirely not worthwhile either.
  • Awesome! Does whichever healer/tank setup work? If I have understood right there is 2 types of healers and 2 types of tanks, 4 combinations possible.
  • Any healer/tank combination should work fine, if you're new it might be tough at first, having enchanted gear with the correct rolls and crystals will make it A LOT easier, and Brawler would make leveling faceroll with good AoE/damage/autoblock.
